Job Description

WOMENโ€™S DIRECTOR - Job Description

Mission and Vision:

The womenโ€™s ministry of Bayou City Fellowship Spring Branch exists to create an intergenerational group of women who gather together to grow and go in Jesusโ€™ name.

Gather: fellowship, worship, foster community that will facilitate discipling and mentoring relationships

Grow: discipleship, Bible study

Go: Service, mission-minded, recognizing and committed to their calling to do the work the Lord has created them to do in every season and circumstance of their lives


The Womenโ€™s Director role is structured in one of two ways. It may be a full-time position that includes both shepherding/discipleship responsibilities and administrative duties. Alternatively, it may be offered as two part-time roles with responsibilities focused on either shepherding/discipleship or administration, depending on the candidateโ€™s availability. Please indicate whether you are applying for the full-time Womenโ€™s Director position or for a part-time role, and if part-time, specify whether your interest is in shepherding/discipleship or administrative responsibilities.


This role operates under the leadership of the Campus Pastor.


Responsibilities

Women's Director Responsibilities: (20-30 hours per week) - Shepherding/Discipleship

โ— Shepherd and disciple women of all ages and stages of life

โ— Teach and apply the Bible and biblical doctrine accurately, clearly, and relevantly.

โ— Coordinate programs for women that offer opportunities for discipleship, spiritual growth, and community building

โ— Build, lead, equip, and empower volunteer teams to carry out the mission and vision of Bayou City Women

โ— Work with existing ministries and structures to equip and mobilize women to be and make disciples of Jesus

โ— Initiate and lead the processes of evaluation, change and growth in women's ministry

โ— Manage the annual budget for the women's ministry

โ— Organize and oversee special events for women

โ— Pray regularly for the women of the church and God's direction


Women's Director Responsibilities: (10-15 hours per week) - Administrative

โ— Provide administrative oversight to the womenโ€™s ministry. Coordinate communication and calendaring at the church level by working closely with the Operations Coordinator, Communication Director and Social Media Manager.

โ— Understand and help communicate and facilitate the ministryโ€™s vision and goals as well as the ways that the different programs seek to further those goals.

โ— Coordinate and manage all materials and supplies needed for womenโ€™s ministry events, including planning, purchasing, organizing, and ensuring proper setup.

โ— Provide ongoing support to volunteer teams, ensuring that volunteers understand their roles and responsibilities and have the supplies that they need.

โ— Work with the Kidsโ€™ Team to ensure childcare needs are met for the womenโ€™s programs.

โ— Help disciple women of all ages and stages of life

โ— Pray regularly for the women of the church and God's direction

Requirements

โ— Well-rounded giftedness in teaching, shepherding, and leadership

โ— 5+ years of experience leading ministry

โ— Demonstrated experience in effective ministry leadership

โ— Agreement with Bayou City Fellowshipโ€™s Doctrinal Statement and distinctives

โ— Desire and ability to make a long-term commitment to Bayou City Fellowship

โ— Undergraduate degree (required); Seminary/Masters preferred.
