Vison A Fibersmith Software Solution

Be an evangelist helping service providers scale and grow. Vision provides an all-in-one platform that helps service providers reduce operational costs and scale efficiently. Within a single platform, service providers can manage Network Monitoring, Billing, Workflows, Scheduling, Ticketing, Reporting, Buy Flows, Marketing, Inventory, and CRM.

Join a team dedicated to helping expand broadband access, especially in underserved communities.

About the Role

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) focuses on generating interest in Vision's cloud-based Business Support Systems (BSS) and Operations Support Systems (OSS) software by engaging telecom and broadband service providers across the United States. The primary objective is to understand a prospect's operational challenges and determine whether Vision can help streamline service delivery, customer management, network operations, billing, and business growth.

The SDR collaborates closely with Marketing, Operations and Executive Leadership to develop territory plans, refine messaging, and deliver impactful customer engagements. This role is instrumental in creating strong market coverage, fostering client relationships, and ensuring scalable, repeatable sales motions.

What You’ll Do

Responsibilities may include:

  • Prospecting & Lead Generation
    • Research WISPs, CLECs, fiber providers, and regional telecommunications companies.
    • Identify key decision-makers.
    • Build targeted prospect lists using industry databases, LinkedIn, industry associations, and trade events.
  • Outbound Engagement
    • Conduct outreach through phone calls, email campaigns, LinkedIn messaging, and industry event follow-up activities.
    • Identify factors driving platform replacement, modernization, or digital transformation initiatives.
    • Ensure sales messaging aligns with Vision's product capabilities, value proposition, and the needs of ISPs evaluating BSS/OSS solutions.
  • Schedule qualified demonstrations for prospective customers.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and opportunity notes within Vision.
  • Support pipeline growth through consistent activity and follow-up.
  • Work closely with Marketing to support field campaigns, events, and targeted outreach efforts.

What We’re Looking For

You may be a great fit if you are:

  • Track record of success in sales.
  • Knowledgeable about the BSS/OSS market in the United States.
  • High-energy with strong communication skills and comfortable engaging people you have never met before.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • A strong team player who is open to coaching and feedback.
  • Willing to ask questions and learn new processes.
  • Comfortable using technology and learning new software.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven success selling SaaS platforms to US based Internet Service Providers.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with prospects, customers, and internal collaborators.
  • Strong territory planning, pipeline management, and organizational abilities.
  • Proven prospecting and lead generation skills.
  • Open to travel where 35% is expected (more travel may be needed based on the demands of growing sales).
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and translate product capabilities into business value.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
  • Self-motivated with a high degree of resilience, persistence, and accountability.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in Sales Development, Business Development, Lead Generation, or Inside Sales.
  • Prior experience selling SaaS solutions preferred.
  • Experience in telecommunications, broadband, ISP, WISP, CLEC, fiber, or technology markets preferred.

Bonus Points

  • Familiarity with broadband funding programs (BEAD, RDOF, etc.) and market dynamics impacting ISPs.
  • Experience working with or selling to WISPs, CLECs, Fiber ISPs, Broadband Service Providers, or telecommunications organizations.
  • Familiarity with BSS/OSS platforms, broadband billing systems, service provisioning workflows, network operations, and telecom industry technologies.
