Job Summary:
Joby Aviation is working on innovative air taxi technology and is seeking an IT Site Administrator to support their operations in Ohio. The role involves managing IT infrastructure, providing technical support, and ensuring smooth operations on the manufacturing floor.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and provide smart hands support for computer systems, network devices, servers, and conference equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software errors by running diagnostics and documenting solutions.
• Create documentation for planning and implementing infrastructure improvements.
• In coordination with IT infrastructure and networking, perform scheduled maintenance for the sites, network stack, and server rooms.
• Participate in the design and deployment of network operations, providing on-site configuration and troubleshooting.
• Datacenter smart hands support, providing remote session access and coordinating troubleshooting or deployment assistance.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for ISP, vendor, software, and office support for Joby's Ohio sites.
• Install and upgrade computer components and software as needed.
• Lead support for desktops, laptops, and test systems to ensure problems are resolved promptly with limited disruptions.
• Operate and manage multi-OS device management systems (MDM) via JAMF and Intune to deploy security, OS, and software updates.
• Drive the encryption of all workstations and maintain inventory records.
• Manufacturing software installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and escalation reporting.
• Manage local inventory and report to leadership on equipment needs.
• Manage deployments of end-user devices, test stands, and mobile devices.
• Route tickets to IT Infrastructure or Network teams for escalated support.
• Complete site-specific requests that require on-premise support.
• Software management for licensing, enterprise applications, and processing requests
• Hardware support and RMA processing for all local inventory.
• Prepare accounts and computers for new hires and deliver onboarding materials.
• Administer enterprise applications for email, messaging, document storage, and conferencing.
• Enforce zero-trust and role-based permission policies for all users.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in IT service roles.
• Familiarity with scripting languages and automation tools.
• Strong knowledge of IT operations best practices, including permission audits, documentation, and ticketing approvals.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills suitable for different audiences.
• Must be willing to travel to remote sites and perform repairs and/or maintenance.
Preferred:
• Knowledge of server systems, software/hardware deployment tools, and networking protocols.
• Jira Service Desk and ServiceNow ticket systems.
• Intune, JAMF, or any MDM platforms.
• Juniper routing and switching.
