Job description

Position: Operations Manager

Client: Honda

Location: Marysville, OH

Reports To: Director, OEM Fleet Management

Description

The Operations Manager position will manage the day-to-day functionality of the Honda Service Centers in Marysville, Raymond and Anna, OH.

Essential Job Functions:

Overall day-to-day oversight and management responsibility for the Automotive Service Center(s) at the Honda Marysville, Raymond & Honda Anna Manufacturing plants, duties including, but not limited to:

  • Direct leadership of all departmental Managers across the Account
  • Maintain a professional approach to problem solving while supporting and enabling contractual obligations to the client
  • Point-of-contact liaison with the on-site Honda client
  • With the assistance of the H.R. Team and departmental Managers, responsible for selection and onboarding of new Team Members and internal promotions
  • Proactively identify and correct unsafe conditions, work processes, and behaviors
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies and company policies and procedures
  • Responsible for all Team Member coaching, counseling and discipline in coordination with departmental Managers and Team Leaders
  • Responsible for Payroll Administration in coordination with the H.R. Manager of Payroll and Benefits
  • Ensure that all supervisors understand how their work relates to the customers' business objectives
  • Main on-site point of contact for all Workers Compensation, OSHA and legal compliance matters
  • Lead on Honda Client Monthly and Quarterly Reviews
  • Responsible for crafting and maintaining a positive work culture for account associates with a focus toward professionalism at the forefront
  • Execute processes to track and record value delivered to the customer
  • Leads the development and execution of team training initiatives to build capability, improve performance, and ensure consistent adherence to operational expectations

Requirements:

  • 4-5 years of experience managing/leading a Team required
  • 2-3 years previous automotive repair experience is a distinct plus
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) some proprietary systems helpful
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • Be able to hold regular, predictable, attendance
  • Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, and work at the specific location required

Lifting Requirements: 5 – 40 lbs.

Physical Requirements: Requires a low to moderate level of physical activity
