IT Operations Management (ITOM) Architect, TS/SCI with a Full Scope Polygraph Security Clearance Required, Herndon, VA
The IT Operations Management (ITOM) Architect will have a key role in aligning IT Operations Management (ITOM) implementation to industry standards and supports IT Operations Management (ITOM) as a proactive tool for addressing network operations while addressing network issues before the issues become service incidents IT Service Management (ITSM). A key function of the role will be measuring and aligning to existing stated SLAs. The IT Operations Management (ITOM) Architect should be able to address and make recommendations to align the ServiceNow CMDB to be a proactive response tool. The resource will support analysis of the Incident Workflow, assess how events are being created for example, from the router onward. The individual with be a liaison with the Forward Networks integration, i.e., service graph connector with the ServiceNow CMDB. The IT Operations Management (ITOM) Architect will support the team onboarding tenants and users. The qualified IT Operations Management (ITOM) Architect must have an active TS/SCI with a Full Scope Polygraph security clearance. This position is 100% Onsite.
IT Operations Management (ITOM) Architect Responsibilities:
- Support ServiceNow CMDB Discovery as the primary data feed with other ServiceNow CMDB data integrated across multiple networks.
- Leverage ServiceNow CMDB and Asset Tables for greater awareness and visibility of CI relationships.
- Proactive response and automation of incident tickets so that if devices go offline, then incident tickets will be created, given specific scenarios and details.
- Greater awareness and visibility of network services and devices relationships.
- Enhance visibility of additional CIs to be investigated that aren't currently in ServiceNow CMDB as CIs, for example, firewalls, cryptographic devices, and satellite communication devices where possible and where potential exists.
- Make recommendations on where ServiceNow products and features can be leveraged that are within license entitlements and outside of current license entitlements for future consideration.
Integration with third-party tools including the following:
- Network Node Manager i (NNMi): Fault Management Tool (OpenText).
- Forward Networks: Data Management (Forward Networks).
- NetIM: Performance (Riverbed).
- Cisco Network Service Orchestrator: Network Configuration Tool (Cisco).
- Analysis of above third-party tools and propose potential areas of simplifying tools in use and where duplicative functions exist.
