Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 4-5 AP Specialists.
  • Oversee a high-volume Accounts Payable environment processing 6,500+ invoices monthly.
  • Manage vendor escalations, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
  • Own AP subledger accuracy and related reporting.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to improve departmental performance.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives and workflow enhancements.
  • Partner closely with Accounting and Finance leadership.
  • Support AP automation and modernization initiatives.
  • Ensure strong internal controls and exceptional internal customer service.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience (5 years minimum considered).
  • 2+ years of leadership experience managing teams.
  • Experience in a high-volume AP environment.
  • Multi-location, shared services, or large-company experience.
  • Month-end close and AP subledger/GL reconciliation experience.
  • Process improvement and KPI ownership experience.
  • Strong ERP experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • Preferred (Bonus Points):
    • JD Edwards experience.
    • Spreadsheet Server experience.
    • ERP implementation or automation exposure.
    • Jira or Zendesk experience.
    • Procure-to-Pay experience.
