Global Product Support Engineer

In this role, you'll serve as the goto technical authority, supporting advanced PECVD systems when issues demand deep expertise beyond firstline support. Your work will directly impact tool performance, customer confidence, and ASM's reputation for technical excellence.

What You'll Do

As a Global Product Support Engineer, you'll operate at the highest technical level, combining handson problem solving with global collaboration:

  • Provideย advanced technical supportย for complex electromechanical equipment and sophisticated software systems
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and debug issues escalated by field engineers and product support teams
  • Act as the escalation point when standard troubleshooting paths are exhausted, delivering clear solutions under pressure
  • Partner with engineering teams by reportingย design, reliability, and maintenance insightsย that drive continuous improvement
  • Support customer installations and deliver technical training when deeper expertise is required
  • Engage directly with customers to resolve highly technical issues and ensure optimal system performance
  • Travel globally (up toย 50%) to support field operations, customer sites, and critical escalations

What We're Looking For

You bring strong semiconductor experience, technical depth, and the confidence to lead in highstakes situations:

  • Proven experience diagnosing and resolvingย complex technical issues
  • Minimumย 2 years of experience with PECVD in semiconductor manufacturing environments
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred)
  • Strong understanding ofย electromechanical systems and softwaredriven equipment
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences
  • Strong presentation skills and comfort leading technical discussions
  • Willingness and ability to travelย locally and internationally up to 50%
  • Customerfocused mindset with the ability to remain effective in challenging, timecritical situations
