Job description

IT system support Engineer

This is a full-time on-site position located in Tucson, AZ. Join the Control Vision team in a unique position that will combine a cybersecurity background with corporate security needs in a cross-functional role. The candidate will have opportunity to be embedded as an essential part of our team, serving as the main point of contact between Control Vision business and our external IT team. The candidate will work closely with the engineering and business teams to develop a solid understanding of how business operations function. The candidate will need to "explain the requirements of end-users to IT " and "explain IT to end-users”, manage cybersecurity policies, and manage and coordinate technology projects. Working in this position, the candidate has the opportunity to own and shape how this role operates within the company.


Responsibilities:

  • IT liaison between business and IT units
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to protect computer networks and systems.
  • Work closely with IT team to identify future cybersecurity risks, and with management to
  • develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
  • Work closely with IT team to oversee CMMC level 2 certification
  • Become familiar with engineering tool requirements and collaborate with IT to securely bring
  • those tools into utilization
  • Integrate and manage IT and security teams
  • Facilitate regular meetings with security, management, engineering and IT
  • Ensure project milestones are met
  • Coordinate simulated attacks with IT team to evaluate the effectiveness of security measures
  • Educate staff on IT and cyber threats

Desired Experience/Qualifications:

  • Must have a US Citizenship
  • Bachelor’s degree or Associates degree combined with advanced learning
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a relevant role and environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365
  • Experience supporting hardware and software in a Windows environment
  • Experience with implementing security measures outlined in NIST special publication SP-800-171
  • Knowledge of security disciplines and how they impact and interact with information system security
  • Ability to interpret and implement security policy, provide guidance, and assist company personnel
  • Ability to read, understand, and apply government regulations, policies, and procedures
  • This role is highly collaborative, requiring regular communication with both managers and technical teams
  • Resourceful in solving problems and capitalizing on opportunities
  • Experience managing several projects simultaneously to completion
  • Adaptable to change and able to prioritize responsibilities
