Job purpose
Funtown SWAT Leads are responsible for supervising all SWAT attendants in the Funtown Ride Park. If you have an eye for detail, enjoy keeping things clean and tidy, and like to take on more responsibility, this position in the Funtown SWAT department is for you!
Duties and responsibilities
Maintaining clean bathrooms including:
  • Cleaning toilets
  • Cleaning sinks and countertops
  • Sweep and mop floors
  • Stocking personal hygiene items
  • Stocking toilet paper and hand soap
  • Emptying trash
  • Complete bathroom cleaning checklists

Maintaining Picnic Areas including:
  • Cleaning picnic tables
  • Sweeping grounds as needed
  • Wipe down trash and recycle barrels
  • Collecting Lost and Found, turning items into management
  • Pressure washing as needed

Maintaining cleanliness of attractions
  • Cleaning major messes on attractions
  • Cleaning entrances areas and grounds for trash and debris around attractions to provide an inviting atmosphere.

Maintaining cleanliness of parkway, parking lots, and perimeter fencing
  • Wipe down trash and recycle barrels
  • Emptying trash and recycling
  • Cleaning grounds of trash and debris
  • Collecting Lost and Found, turning items into management
  • Emptying and cleaning smoker cigarette butt units in smoking areas
  • Complete area cleaning checklists

Clean Office and Team Member buildings
  • Clean Bathrooms as described above
  • Empty trash and recycling
  • Sweep, Mop, Vacuum floors as needed
  • Complete all necessary cleaning checklists

Maintain Supplies
  • Restock individual supply closets at the end of every shift
  • Complete daily checklist for supply closet restocking
  • Complete supply sign-outs.
  • Notify management of any supplies that are running low

Comply with all policies and procedures of Funtown Splashtown USA
  • Follow all policies and procedures of the Department
  • Maintain professional appearance following all uniform guidelines.
  • Attend all required department, interdepartmental, and park trainings.
  • You may be assigned to other duties as necessary.

Including the above, also performs the following supervisory duties:
  • Monitors/Manages all daily operations.
  • Verifies all paperwork is completed throughout the day.
  • Responsible for cleaning up messes involving feces.
  • Works closely with the Funtown SWAT Manager to maintain an accurate inventory of supplies and notifies the manager when (a) supply item(s) needs to be ordered.
  • Communicates staffing and operational issues to Funtown SWAT Manager
  • Works with Funtown SWAT Manager to orient and train all SWAT staff.
  • Assists Funtown SWAT Manager with any other tasks as needed.

Qualifications
  • Applicant must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • One year of cleaning experience preferred. One year of supervisory experience preferred.
  • A successful applicant will have strong communication skills and a friendly, positive attitude who is able to work alone and as part of a team.

Working conditions
  • While we do our best to provide shaded areas for our employees to be in, it is impossible to guarantee this at all times of the day. You may be in direct/indirect sunlight for long periods of time. We operate in most summer weather conditions and since you are outside and Maine weather is unpredictable we ask that you dress appropriately and are prepared for light to heavy rain, changes in temperature, and humidity.
  • We also suggest that you always come prepared with snacks, meals, and a water bottle full of water that you can get refilled as needed.
  • Select job duties may require an attendant to work with gas or oil.
  • Regular duties require attendant to clean vomit and on occasion feces as needed.

Physical requirements
  • Applicant should be able to walk short and long distances or stand for long periods of time.
  • Select tasks require the ability to lift up to 30 or 50 lbs.
