The Opportunity
As the Strategic Planning and Implementation Manager within the North America Service Business Unit, you will shape strategic planning activities and drive the implementation of approved initiatives across the region and customer segments. You will work with regional and global stakeholders to develop strategic plans, convert priorities into executable initiatives, establish implementation governance, track progress, manage risks and issues, and support reporting across leadership forums. This role addresses the challenge of turning strategy into measurable business outcomes through structured execution, visibility, and accountability. By improving implementation discipline, operational performance, and cross-functional alignment, you will contribute to the continued evolution of service delivery and business performance across the organization.
How You'll Make an Impact
  • Lead and coordinate the strategic planning and execution process for the North America Service Business Unit.
  • Integrate regional, functional, and leadership inputs into strategic priorities and execution roadmaps.
  • Structure strategic plans to support executable initiatives with ownership, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
  • Manage the implementation framework for approved strategic initiatives from approval through execution.
  • Establish governance processes including milestone tracking, risk management, issue management, and course correction activities.
  • Coordinate project tracking and reporting across leadership and business reporting cycles.
  • Develop executive dashboards, insight materials, and information that supports strategic discussions and implementation activities.
  • Engage stakeholders across functions, regions, and cultures while promoting clear ownership and communication.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • 10-15+ years of experience in strategic planning, program/portfolio management, consulting, sales, or corporate development roles.
  • Experience managing the implementation of complex, multi-initiative portfolios in a global matrix environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate at senior executive and board interface level.
  • Experience in industrial, data center, energy, or services-led organizations preferred.
  • Experience with strategic planning, implementation governance, project management, executive dashboards, and reporting processes.
