Location: Bentonville, AR; Washington, D.C.; Denver, CO; Jersey City, NJ

Walton Enterprises is seeking a skilled, highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual to join the team as a Lead, Strategy & Operations. The ideal teammate will have the demonstrated ability to lead major initiatives, drive strategic and operational coordination across the enterprise, and lead and mentor junior staff while acting as a trusted thought partner to senior leadership.

About the Position

Oversee major cross-functional initiatives, guide enterprise planning or other processes, and act as a trusted thought partner to senior leaders while coaching junior talent.

What you will do

As a Lead, you will oversee major initiatives in governance, strategy projects, or household operations. You will drive forward significant organizational priorities at the intersection of client service and shared services, serving as a trusted thought partner to senior leadership. You will mentor Associates and Senior Associates, modeling effective project leadership, and ensure that teams adopt enterprise systems and practices that strengthen efficiency and reporting - without direct management.

Responsibilities

    Lead major cross-functional initiatives in designated focus areas (e.g., governance, strategy projects, or household operations).
  • Coordinate annual strategy planning and progress tracking or oversee other enterprise-wide processes depending on scope.
  • Manage workstreams across multiple projects, ensuring clarity of scope, quality outputs, and timely delivery.
  • Act as a trusted thought partner to the President, COO, and CFO on organizational priorities.
  • Mentor and guide Associates and Senior Associates, modeling effective project leadership, without positional authority.
  • Provide oversight for complex household operational projects where relevant.
  • Support adoption and effective use of enterprise systems and reporting tools across teams.

Compensation Range: $218,000 - $272,000
