Plant Manager The Plant Manager oversees the operations of a tier one automotive blanking and stamping supplier. Lead the manufacturing facility to safely provide the best solutions and service to the supply chain and the customers. Define current and long-term objectives for safety, service, quality, and employees and deploying resources effectively. Establish and communicate clear goals, strategy, and deliverables. Support and foster a high-performance work team that encourages collaboration and continuous improvement. Exercise sound judgment in the execution of your job responsibilities. Essential Functions: • Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers' expectation through the oversight of shipping, receiving, production and maintenance activities • Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards • Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping • Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results • Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus • Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions • Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime • Commit to plant safety procedures and hold others accountable for adherence • Responsible for hiring, performance management, employee relations, monitoring employee productivity, training and disciplinary measures that fosters self-correcting employees. • Responsible to enforce and support company policies and procedures, escalating matters of importance • Responsible for ensuring ISO /TS standards and regulations are adhered to • Regularly inspect the plant floor and equipment to ensure everything is working properly, to include the grounds and truck yard as well • Work closely with all internal plant and corporate functions, including and not limited to sales, marketing, quality, procurement, finance, and human resources • Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers, get firsthand customer information; established and maintains effective relationships with customers • Other duties as assigned by senior management

Requirements:
• Demonstrated strong leadership skills
• Proven work experience as a plant manager as well as managerial experience
• Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)
• Familiarity with automotive aluminum and steel blanking equipment and technical expertise.
• Knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory, and stewardship processes
• Computer literacy
• Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
• Strong attention to detail and follow through
• Able to effectively manage multiple tasks at one time while meeting deadline
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does have supervisory responsibilities of plant management and maintenance personnel
Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field is preferred. Formal education may be substituted with experience and training when competency in the position is demonstrated.
• 8 + years previous experience in manufacturing field required, preferably in steel and aluminum
• 8+ years progressive managerial experience required
• Proficient skills in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong financial and business acumen, including knowledge of market trends, technology and best practices
