Job Description I&E Estimator POSITION OVERVIEW Salary: Based on experience Location: Houston, TX Role Type: Direct-hire, full-time CLIENT OVERVIEW Our client is a Texas-based electrical contractor specializing in large-scale greenfield industrial construction -- oil and gas, data centers, semiconductor facilities, industrial water, and power infrastructure. RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the preparation of detailed electrical and instrumentation estimates for large-scale greenfield industrial projects Review project drawings, specifications, and scope documents to develop accurate, competitive bids Perform quantity takeoffs and labor/material analysis for electrical and I&E scope Collaborate with project management and field leadership to validate assumptions and refine estimates Manage bid schedules and coordinate with procurement on material pricing Build and maintain relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and clients through the bid process Track bid outcomes and incorporate lessons learned into future estimates Support preconstruction activities including scope clarification, value engineering, and RFI management REQUIREMENTS Required: 5+ years of electrical estimating experience with a strong focus on industrial or greenfield construction Solid background in instrumentation and electrical (I&E) scope on industrial projects Experience estimating projects in oil and gas, data centers, semiconductor, power, or industrial water sectors Proficiency with estimating software (Accubid, McCormick, or similar) Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, one-lines, P&IDs, and specifications Strong math, analytical, and communication skills Preferred: Prior experience at an industrial electrical contractor in a lead or senior estimator role Familiarity with large labor forces and self-perform electrical contracting models Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field BENEFITS Health, Vision, Dental insurance 401(k) with match PTO
