Job Description:

Position Summary

Support sales operations and the team who are responsible for administrative/booking tasks in an effort to increase sales and service levels. Proactively engage teams to achieve goals and efficiently process all data and timeliness response to communications.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Oversee all Small Group Journeys Sales Assistants to ensure tasks are consistently handled in an efficient and timely manner

  • Develop strategies and use reporting metrics to determine efficiencies wherever possible; make recommendations for process, procedure, reporting and technology improvements

  • Ongoing performance management against annual objectives

  • Resolve escalated issues with bookings and/or staff

  • Monitor business cycles to ensure staffing coverage during peak periods

  • Assist the team as needed with ensuring tasks are completed

  • Participate in interviews/new hire process as needed; coordinate new hire training

  • Collaborate with guests, travel advisors, DMCs, Third Party Suppliers, and internal departments to facilitate booking/guest information is provided per determined schedules

  • Managerial tasks (scheduling, payroll, reports, etc.)

  • Special projects and other related duties as required

Skills and Abilities

  • Effective people management and team-building skills

  • Strong multitasking, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Professional verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work well in stressful situations

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Working knowledge of OneIS reservation system preferred

  • knowledge of world geography

  • Intermediate computer skills required (Microsoft Office Suite)

  • Must be able to perform basic mathematical computations

  • Must speak, read, and write the English language fluently

Special requirements

  • Evening and weekend hours may be required

Education and Experience

  • Travel industry experience preferred

  • College degree preferred

Salary

  • 75-78k; with additional earning potential through sales incentives.
