Role Summary

The Sales Operations Manager serves as the primary liaison between the Regional Field Sales teams and Internal Operations across the U.S. branded retail portfolio. This role is responsible for forecasting, demand planning, volume tracking, and providing insights to support operational and financial decisions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly analytical, and possesses excellent communication and project management skills.


What You'll Do
  • Monitor forecasts and track volume changes, providing input to demand planning teams
  • Serve as the primary liaison between regional field sales teams and operations supply/demand planners
  • Support the monthly S&OP forecasting process and participate in weekly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) meetings
  • Review historical sales trends and develop statistical forecast models
  • Propose projected volumes for annual plan targets and 6+6 volume reinstatement exercises
  • Review promotional and distribution plans with trade marketing to assess impact on forecast
  • Identify forecast risk areas and opportunities for improvement
  • Manage shipper/pallet orders, aging inventory, and SKU rationalization with sales teams
  • Perform trend analysis to identify inconsistencies between forecasted and actual sales
  • Support forecasting for new item launches to ensure successful execution
  • Assist in annual financial planning and year-to-date volume tracking
  • Create and manage sales meeting presentation materials for planning meetings
  • Leverage syndicated data sources (e.g., IRI, Nielsen) to identify opportunities and provide insights-based recommendations
  • Provide monthly sales volume and trade spending reports to field sales and HQ teams
  • Complete ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed to support cross-functional teams and senior leadership

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Minimum of 3 years of industry experience in forecasting, planning, or sales operations (Consumer Packaged Goods experience a plus)
  • Strong analytical skills, highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Positive attitude, self-starter, detail-oriented, and highly organized
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience leveraging syndicated market data and tools (e.g., IRI, Nielsen POS and panel)
