Revit Drafter - Critical Facilities Construction Closeout - Omaha, NE / Remote / Hybrid
Our client is a Leading Engineering Design / Build and Commissioning Company that is a subject matter expert in the data center space. They will provide onsite design coordination and construction administration, consulting and management support for the Data Center / Mission Critical Facilities Space with the mindset to provide reliability, energy efficiency, sustainable design and LEED expertise when providing these consulting services for Enterprise, Colocation and Hyperscale Companies. As a Revit Drafter, you will manage complex data center construction projects, oversee construction closeout processes, perform field verification audits as needed, and ensure projects stay on schedule with high quality. Update models to reflect as-built conditions and cleaning up models for approval. This role can be remote / hybrid / in-office or in field - as preferred. Ideal role for a design-focused professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for innovative solutions. Key focus on role will be construction and closeout side rather than design. Will analyze retrofits, getting information from the field team to add the newly installed equipment providing 3-D Revit so the equipment is added into an accurate as built set of drawings. Successful candidate should have experience in electrical design in 3D using the latest versions of Revit.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Team members to verify constructability and ensure use of Best Practices
  • Assist with Critical Facilities Construction Project plans โ€“ size up, costs, scheduling, timeline, and close out
  • Large portion of work requires a heavy knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment such as: medium voltage switchgear, diesel generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, CRAC, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, fire detection / suppression; building monitoring systems (BMS), building Automated Systems, etc.
  • Conduct closeouts post IFC; they'll be doing backend, closeouts, retrofits working with construction administration to finish out the job so they can hand off the work to the client
  • CAD BIM Management and improving file quality
  • Analyze retrofits, getting information from the field team to add the newly installed equipment providing 3-D Revit so the equipment is added into an accurate as built set of drawings
  • Ensure planning, laying out installing and wiring electrical components are completed per drawings, specs and in accordance with electrical code
  • Be in regular contact with the onsite team to download requirements needed to conduct closeout

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 + years of Revit a MUST
  • Light Experience with AutoCAD electrical design experience a plus
  • Extensive 3-D Modeling experience a must
  • Experience modeling electrical systems / electrical installation drawings a huge plus, otherwise they will teach this!
  • BIM Experience (Building Information Modeling) a plus
  • Experience with Electrical Systems: UPS, Generators, Switchgears, and other power distribution units a plus
  • Strong understanding of mechanical HVAC systems ( Boilers , Chillers, Pumps, CRAC units) a huge plus
  • Review Revit designs for Electrical installation of Equipment a plus
  • Bachelor's / Associates Degree in construction management, engineering, or other related field a plus
  • Electrical or Mechanical Training Certificate a plus
  • Experience working in a Construction or Engineering environment
  • Experience interpreting blueprints and specifications
  • Collaborate / Contribute / Work well with the Revit Design team
  • Previous experience in the Military / Military veterans in all branches that have experience with Electrical / Mechanical is a huge plus (Navy Nukes- EMN, ETN, MMNs, Seabees, Army - Power Generation, Air Force โ€“ Power Production, Generator Techs, Maritime, Coast Guard, etc.)
  • Computer Savvy โ€“ Microsoft โ€“ Teams, Outlook, PP, Word, MS Project (scheduling with Activities and resources, etc.)
  • Solid Communicator โ€“ (written and verbal)
  • Ability to successfully work independently; Self Starter, self-motivated, attention to detail with ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
