Job description

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring BIM Manager in Pataskala, OH. The BIM Manager leads the planning, implementation, and coordination of BIM efforts for complex electrical projects, specifically within the Data Center and Hyperscale sectors. This role oversees a team of 5-10 BIM Modelers to deliver high-quality models and documentation that meet stringent project standards. The ideal candidate brings expert-level technical proficiency in Revit and Navisworks alongside proven leadership experience in the electrical construction industry.

Job Type: Permanent

Annual Salary: $120,000 to $130,000 Annually BOE

Responsibilities:

  • Lead BIM planning, implementation, and coordination for large-scale electrical construction projects.
  • Manage and mentor a team of 5-10 BIM Modelers, ensuring project milestones and quality standards are met.
  • Develop and maintain project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and internal BIM standards.
  • Lead model coordination efforts including advanced clash detection and resolution using Navisworks Manager.
  • Oversee the production of BIM deliverables, including 3D models, shop drawings, and quantity take-offs to meet LOD requirements.
  • Focus on technical modeling for Data Center and Hyperscale low-voltage systems such as fiber, telecom, and fire alarm.
  • Manage modeling and coordination for medium voltage (MV) systems, power distribution, lighting, and branch power.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure models align with design intent and field installation needs.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a BIM or VDC role specifically within the Electrical industry.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership capacity managing modelers and coordinators.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Revit for electrical systems modeling.
  • Advanced proficiency in Navisworks Manager for coordination and clash detection.
  • Demonstrated experience with Data Center or Hyperscale electrical and low-voltage systems.
  • Strong understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC) and construction documentation standards.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement BIM Execution Plans (BEP).
  • Familiarity with Level of Development (LOD) requirements and deliverables for large-scale projects.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and keyboard for prolonged periods.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision for detailed 3D modeling and computer-based work.
  • May be occasionally exposed to construction site environments, including heights, loud noises, and uneven terrain.
  • May need to occasionally climb stairs or ladders during site visits.
  • May need to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion.

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $120,000 to $130,000 annually, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
