Peter Pennoyer Architects, D.P.C. is a 50-person firm of architects, conservators, interior designers, and related professionals based in Manhattan and with offices in Miami and Palm Beach Florida. Founded in 1990, PPA is recognized as a leader in new construction, renovation, and historic preservation for residential, commercial, and institutional commissions across the United States and abroad.
We are currently seeking an Associate with at least 3 years to join one of the firm's highly skilled and technically innovative teams. Our work ranges from houses and apartments to institutional and commercial work, including mid-rise residential apartment buildings. Our portfolio of projects has consistently expanded and includes books on American architecture as well as museum exhibition design. The ideal candidate will have a strong Revit background and show evidence that they can consistently produce work of very high quality.
Role Description
โข Be an essential part of a project team working on all phases of a design project from Pre-Design through Construction Administration
โข Assist in project coordination and the production of project documentation
โข Assist with survey and analysis of existing site conditions
โข Produce drawings with direction from the design team
โข Collaborate with the Project Manager and senior members to produce deliverables accurately and on time
โข Prepare for and attend meetings with clients and consultants, record decisions, and issue notes
โข Assist in coordination efforts with other project professionals
โข Develop drawings and models through all phases from Pre-Design to Construction Administration
โข Develops clear drawings from a Revit model
โข Possesses the ability to build thoughtful, parametric model families in Revit
โข Communicate effectively in written and oral formats
โข Self-check own work and the work of other team members for completeness and accuracy
Qualifications
โข Bachelor or masters degree in architecture
โข At least 3 years of full-time professional experience post-graduation
โข At least 3 years solid Revit experience
โข Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, or other architectural and design software is a plus
โข Excellent analytical, time management, conceptual, communication and organizational skill
โข Experience working in a classical architecture firm is a plus
โข Basic knowledge and understanding of different rendering techniques and excellent graphic skills
โข Capable of instructing team members in Revit
โข Precise and personable verbal and written communication skills
โข Basic understanding of architectural design and construction principles
โข Must be able to commute to New York office 5 days per week
The pay range for this role is:
85,000 - 95,000 USD per year (New York Office)
