Water/Wastewater BIM/Revit Designer

Location: Greenville, SC

Full Time


Position Summary

This role focuses on BIM/Revit design and 3D modeling for water and wastewater treatment facilities and related municipal infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a hands-on BIM/Revit Designer with experience working in a water/wastewater engineering or treatment-facility design environment who can independently develop coordinated 3D models and construction documents.

We are looking for a hands-on BIM/Revit Designer with direct experience supporting water/wastewater treatment projects or closely related industrial treatment facilities. The candidate should be comfortable working across multiple disciplines and developing accurate, coordinated models and construction drawings.


Must-Have Qualifications

  • 3+ years of CAD/design experience within an architectural, engineering, or multidisciplinary design environment.
  • 3+ years of hands-on Revit/BIM experience, including developing plans, sections, details, and construction documents.
  • Direct experience with water/wastewater treatment facilities, municipal water infrastructure, or closely related treatment-facility design.
  • Experience with multidiscipline BIM modeling, including exposure to:
    • Process/mechanical piping
    • Structural systems
    • Electrical systems
    • Instrumentation & Controls (I&C)
    • HVAC
    • Architectural systems
  • Ability to model and coordinate real-world facility components such as walls, slabs, piping, valves, fittings, pumps, HVAC systems, and ductwork, as applicable to assigned projects.
  • Strong understanding of model coordination, construction documentation, and design standards.


Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain coordinated 3D Revit/BIM models for water and wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Produce detailed plans, sections, elevations, details, and construction drawings.
  • Process and incorporate point-cloud data into BIM/Revit workflows.
  • Coordinate models and design information with process, structural, mechanical, electrical, I&C, and project management teams.
  • Identify and resolve design conflicts and model coordination issues.
  • Support project teams with QA/QC, drawing reviews, and model quality control.
  • Maintain accurate and organized BIM project files in accordance with established standards and protocols.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or technical education in CAD, BIM, Engineering Design, Drafting, or a related field.
  • Experience with Bluebeam, Autodesk ReCap, point-cloud processing, BIM 360, and other BIM/document-management platforms.
  • Familiarity with file-sharing protocols and BIM collaboration workflows.
  • Knowledge of water/wastewater treatment processes and equipment.
  • Experience working on municipal infrastructure or treatment-facility projects.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
