Job description

We are a MEP Engineering firm located in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago in Elk Grove Village, Illinois and currently seeking an Plumbing Engineer to work in a fast-paced multi-discipline team environment. Our Plumbing Engineers are responsible for designing building Plumbing systems and producing plumbing construction documentation for commercial and institutional projects, with an emphasis on educational facilities.

Job Functions and Primary Responsibilities

As a Plumbing Engineer you will be responsible for:

Design of Plumbing Systems to include:

  • Overhead domestic water distribution piping system.
  • Storm drainage systems.
  • Domestic water heater sizing.
  • Storm and ejector system sizing.
  • Interact with a multi-disciplinary engineering team to review, define and design to meet customer requirements.
  • Candidates need to be self-directed and capable of running multiple concurrent projects with minimal direction. We are looking for talented individuals who can effectively manage their time and workload to complete work timely.
  • Develop Client Relationships.
  • Some local travel will be required to meet with clients and field survey existing conditions.
  • Knowledge of Building an Energy codes.


Candidate Background


Candidates will meet the following requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in MEP Plumbing designing in MEP projects.
  • Experience and understanding of REVIT designer software, including AutoCAD.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license a plus, but not required.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience helping to maintain successful Client relationships.
  • Ability to work in a fact-paced multi-discipline environment.
  • Confident, self-starter, with a positive attitude with colleagues and clients.
