Maximus is seeking a Business Manager to support the Preservation of the Force and Family (POTFF) program. This role provides operational, financial, administrative, and stakeholder-management support for integrated human performance services that sustain Special Operations Forces mission readiness, longevity, and performance. The Business Manager translates program priorities into disciplined execution across physical, psychological, cognitive, social and family, and spiritual performance domains
U.S. citizenship is required. Candidates must possess an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance or be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance as required for contract performance. This position is pending upon contract award.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope including facilitating and preparing all planning activities and artifacts.
- Oversee and manage large multi-project programs including planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling program activities.
- Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities.
- Develop and maintain a master and individual resource plan and required documents for projects.
- Baseline all projects and capture actual metrics for historical metrics and Level of Effort (LoE) forecasting.
- Review deliverables prepared by team before providing to management and customers.
- Effectively apply the PMI methodology and enforce project standards on all projects.
- Prepare for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
- Minimize risk exposure on projects.
- Communicate relevant project information to management, stakeholders, and customers.
- Resolve and/or escalate issues within a reasonable amount of time taking in consideration impact on the project.
- Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
- Track and maintain lessons learned and utilize lessons learned on subsequent projects.
- Ensure all projects are properly closed out.
- Supervise staff by providing direction, input, and performance feedback.
- Serve as escalation point to prioritizing workloads and resolving issues.
- Act as liaison for assigned vendor(s), including performance and SLA monitoring, and supporting system and business process changes.
- Participate in the drafting of vendor contracts, addendums, SOWs, RFPs/RFIs, change requests, and requirements.
- Lead continuous improvement teams.
Project Bid Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day business operations for the POTFF program or assigned site, ensuring alignment with contract requirements, customer priorities, and mission objectives.
- Partner with the Finance team to manage budgets, forecasts, expenditures, staffing resources, training investments, and facility needs.
- Coordinate operational activities across physical, psychological, cognitive, social and family, and spiritual performance domains.
- Supervise administrative and clerical personnel, establish work schedules, support onboarding, and coordinate role-specific training.
- Monitor compliance with contract requirements, government regulations, safety standards, security requirements, and applicable Maximus policies.
- Coordinate vendor activities and procurement of supplies, services, equipment, and technology required for program delivery.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with government customers, program leadership, functional teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Develop and monitor operational metrics, reports, and performance indicators to support data-driven decision-making.
- Identify operational risks, recommend corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- 7-10 years of relevant professional experience required.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, public administration, finance, or a related field
- Minimum of five years of experience in program management, contract administration, business operations, or a related function within a defense, government, or other complex regulated environment.
- Demonstrated experience with budgeting, financial oversight, resource planning, procurement, and cost control.
- Experience supervising staff and coordinating work across cross-functional teams.
- Working knowledge of federal contracting and applicable compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with government and industry stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and business reporting tools.
- Ability to obtain and maintain the security clearance required for the position.
Project Specific Preferred Requirements:
- Advanced degree in business administration, public administration, public health, or a related field.
- Experience supporting Special Operations Forces, military readiness, human performance, behavioral health, or physical readiness programs.
- Knowledge of USSOCOM and POTFF mission priorities.
- Experience applying the Federal Acquisition Regulation or Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement.
- Experience developing performance metrics and executive-level operational reports.
- Project Management Professional or other relevant business, finance, or program-management certification.
- Active Department of Defense Secret or higher-level security clearance.

Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
