ABOUT RIA HEALTH

Ria Health, recognized as the leading national telehealth provider specializing in alcohol use disorder (AUD) treatment, recently raised $12.5 million through a Series B financing led by Peloton Equity.  Our existing investors SV Health, BPEA and SOSV also participated in the Series B. The investment will further the momentum of commercial partnerships that include regional and national health plans, including Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, UnitedHealth Group Optum, Beacon Health Options, Highmark Health, and Magellan Health. Ria Health will enable patients to achieve long term success in reducing or eliminating  their alcohol consumption, and live healthier and happier lives. We are seeking a Clinical Intake/Triage Nurse to join our rapidly growing team.

Join the team that integrates medical care, behavioral support, and technology tools to help members achieve their personal goals in treating alcohol misuse. Ria Health is a Center of Excellence that delivers a Joint Commission accredited program that leverages evidence-based pharmacotherapy, psychosocial support, and an engaging care delivery platform to help members achieve lasting improvements in their quality of life. Ria’s published outcomes data set the standard for effectiveness in alcohol treatment. The Ria program is delivered through telehealth and by a care team of Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Coaches with clinical expertise to manage care and outcomes for Ria Health members.

WORK AT RIA HEALTH AS A RECOVERY COACH 

The role of a Ria Health Recovery Coach is to support Ria members to reduce or eliminate alcohol use through pharmacotherapy, targeted protocols, technology platforms, and coaching tools. Coaches are to provide education on alcohol use and its effects on health, the benefits of using pharmacotherapy, and effective behavioral change. Next is to use various coaching tools based on CBT and MI to provide positive short- and long term health outcomes for members. Last is using various engagement techniques based on empathy, rapport, compassion, nonjudgement, warmth, and positive regard.  

All the above is done in a virtual team clinic environment. All coaches are to work interdependently with various team members and departments. Coaches are to use Ria’s various technology platforms to monitor members to positive outcomes, collaborate with various team members, develop new coaching tools, problem-solve on retention concerns, and manage member’s coaching experiences from beginning to end. 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES and ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluation of new members including a standardized intake with a formulation of an individualized care plan

  • Collaborate with supervising medical staff and interdisciplinary treatment team, to develop and revise member care plans

  • Facilitate individual coaching through 15-30 minute video/phone calls and app-based communication channels. 

  • Manage a caseload of members and monitor health outcomes, coordination of care, and case management services. 

  • Facilitate various evidence-based interventions to support pharmacotherapy, reduction in alcohol use, and promotion of positive health outcomes. 

  • Demonstrate professionalism, attentiveness, and promptness during the session, throughout the course of care, and during various technology interfaces with members. 

  • Build relationships with Ria members to ensure high engagement and quality experiences with members

  • Document sessions into EMR and billing systems 

  • Develop a plan of action for maintaining members and keeping active productivity 

  • Provide coordination of care, case management, and advocacy when needed and throughout a member’s time with Ria Health.

  • Provide coaching services during normal business hours and/or as approved 

  • Plan around member load to optimize continuity of care 

  • Track member’s engagement and outcomes throughout the program 

  • Attending team meetings, coaching syncs, and other related meetings

  • Develop new clinical tools for Ria Members

  • Collaborate with Product and Coaching team on program development

  • Maintain HIPAA and privacy standards and/or as determined by funding and accreditation bodies.

  • Continuous learning and change advocacy as determined by industry trends, community needs, and best practices. 

  • Ability to work some evenings and/or weekends 

  • As needed administrative tasks and member coverage

  • Acknowledgment that work may involve working with Protected Healthcare Information and agree to abide by all company policies and procedures for keeping that information secure and private.

  • Agree to work within the policies and procedures of Ria Health, including the Information Security, Acceptable Use, Remote Work/Teleworking, and the Monitoring and Recording policies. Violation of company policies may be grounds for discipline, up to and including termination. 

COMPETENCIES:

  • Facilitate therapeutic individual and group sessions

 

GOALS: 

  • Conduct prompt coaching sessions for Ria members as scheduled 

  • Respond to Ria members chat-based communication and scheduling needs within 1 business day

  • Maintain fidelity checklists and benchmarks in a coaching model, clinical protocols, and pharmacotherapy guidelines

  • Timely documentation within 24 hours

  • Come prepared with coaching plans in supervision and collaborative care meetings.

  • Ensure care plan goals and related health-outcomes are met with members at 3, 6, 9, and 12 months 

  • Provide various touch-points with members to build dynamic experiences and manage expectations with members

  • Maintain member satisfaction throughout the program

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCe:

  • Certified as an alcohol and drug counselor in your state or equivalent to Advance Alcohol and Drug Counselor (AADC), Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ADC),  CADC (Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor), CADAC (Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor), LAADC (Licensed Advanced Alcohol Drug Counselor), or MCAP (Master Certified Addiction Professional) or equivalent

  • Certification must be part of IC&RC (International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium) and able to apply for reciprocity 

  • 3-5 years in AUD or addiction treatment

  • BA/BS and/or MA preferred 

  • Background in addiction treatment/services, wellness, chronic disease management, and related topics

  • Secure private space with proper lighting to conduct video coaching sessions, team meeting, and maintain privacy compliance

  • Direct high-speed internet access to properly host video coaching sessions, team meetings and related meetings

  • Experience with EMR systems, Zoom conferencing, and app-based applications

  • Knowledgeable of SUD treatment programs that are evidence-based and outcome-driven

  • Knowledgeable of harm reduction models 

  • Experience with planning and managing client caseload around their health

  • Experience with providing continuous professionalism, engagement, and promptness 

  • Experience with pharmacotherapy and/or medicated-assisted treatment

  • Experience with a startup, virtual health and/or telehealth settings

KEY PERFORMANCE METRICS:

  • On-time delivery of coaching sessions as measured through call and video logs. 

  • Active licensed and in good standing as measured by licensing board  

  • Notes charted and signed with 24 hours as measured in the timestamps

  • Maintain continuity care for members as measured by number of reschedules through API and Zoom. 

  • Weekly coaching sessions scheduled during coaching operating hours as measured through internal scheduling systems.

  • Utilization of evidence-based practices as measured through reporting of  EMR based documentation.

  • Weekly coaching sessions performed as measured through internal system completion percentage

  • Member satisfaction maintained as measured by program surveys, discharge questionnaire, and supervision
