Job description

Olameter is currently hiring for a Contract Manager! This position will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, and completion of a utility locating project running in both Grand Forks and Fargo, ND (More time will be spent in Grand Forks). Position also hires, trains and ensures all staff are providing the highest quality of service while maintaining safety. Ensures the project remains within budget and provides exceptional customer service to the client(s).

We are also offering a relocation package to Grand Forks, ND if successfully considered for the position!

Position Responsibilities:

  • Ensure proper training of all field staff and uphold safety standards. Takes immediate steps to resolve any unsafe working conditions.
  • Collaborate with office and field staff on route schedules, invoicing, errors, training, payroll, employee status changes and other employee related issues.
  • Verify that all routes are completed ensuring quality and timeliness. Schedules re-reads, shut offs and other special consideration customers as needed.
  • Track daily completions, labor hours, etc. Runs reports and supplies production information as requested by Director, Corporate or Customer.
  • Perform staff management functions including monitor and resolve on-the-job problems, set appropriate performance standards, analyze staffing levels, interview and selects new employees; facilitate staff training, coaching, cross-training and mentoring; perform performance evaluations, resolve employee concerns; performs disciplinary counseling, and performs terminations with Human Resources assistance.
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with customers, keeping them informed on a regular basis. Work with Regional Manager to introduce the client to Olameter Corporation additional services and grow business.
  • Manage and maintain the project budget. Review operating costs become familiar with project revenue projections and contract.
  • Keeps records, tracks project performance and produces reports as requested.
  • May perform route related project duties as needed if qualified.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must have previous Underground Utility Locating Experience
  • Three (3) or more years’ experience supervising/managing people and large-scale projects. Experience with remote/offsite projects helpful.
  • Valid Driver’s License required, will be provided company vehicle.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer skills using Microsoft office and the ability to retrieve and enter information into a handheld device or computer database.
  • Ability to read, writes, and follows and completes written instructions.
  • Ability to find locations/address by reading a map and handheld device.
  • Ability to communicate and interact with customers in a professional manner.
  • Must pass Meter-Pro test.
  • Ability to walk route, which includes stairs and unpaved/rough terrain areas.
