Job description

The primary purpose of the Outside Services Attendant is to provide the highest degree of customer service to our members and guests throughout the clubhouse, driving range, and the golf course area. The Outside Services consist of valet services, cart barn, driving range, golf tournament services, and Range Master.

Essential Duties:

  • Provide superior customer service to all arriving and departing front of the clubhouse guests and assisting with any and all needs they should have.
  • Greet and direct guests to clubhouse amenities.
  • Assist guests by opening car doors and front doors to clubhouse.
  • Provide excellent valet service for restaurant and golf guest. This includes safely parking and retrieving guest vehicles.
  • Assist with all guest bag handling from point of arrival to departure of the clubhouse.
  • Work with golf shop and host stand to assist guests with taxi and shuttle services.
  • Ensure that all vehicle keys and guest’s golf bags are secure at all times.
  • Ensure that ONLY invited guests enter any event room.
  • Ensure that the Practice Range is properly set up every morning for our golfing and range guests.
  • Ensure that the cart barn and driving range are stocked with range balls at all times.
  • Assist all range and golfing guests with golf bags and any questions or needs they should have.
  • Continually pick the range throughout the day by driving the range picker vehicle.
  • Perform a” CLEAN PICK” upon closing the range EVERY NIGHT. This will include both driving the range picker vehicle and hand picking golf balls.
  • Ensure that the entire inventory of dirty range balls are cleaned and prepped for the opening staff the following day.
  • Ensure that the range line has been moved properly and prepared for the next day.
  • Ensure that all breakdown is performed on specified days in order to accommodate for mowing days.
  • Collect range ball bags & receipts from all non-golfing range guests.
  • Ensure that all six range flags are in place at all times.
  • Assist with set up in regards to range golf clinics and other range events.
  • Assist with Teaching, V.I.P., and College Programs set up.
  • Ensure that Short Game area is set up at all times.
  • Assist with Tournament events as it pertains to Practice Range activities.
  • Enforce all rules and regulations of the Practice Range and Short Game area.
  • Control the appearance and detailing of the Practice Range Hutches and Bag Stands
  • Working Range-master shifts to monitor range for all specified rules and regulations i.e. Mats ONLY
  • Coordinate Practice Range set up in accordance to scheduled events i.e. mats to grass.
  • Inspect and control the cleanliness and detail of every golf cart including but not limited to the wheels, wheel wells, undercarriage, body, floor board, accessory holders and cubbies, club cargo area, back accessory basket, and roof.
  • Staging carts by driving the golf cart from the cart barn to the staging area.
  • Ensure that every staged golf cart is properly supplied with a scorecard, pencil, (2) towels, (2) Trump water bottles, a full stock of sand and seed, and a functioning G.P.S. Unit.
  • Cart Barn employee is to fully wash and dry every cart. Ensure the wheel wells, roof, interior, club cargo area, and seats are cleaned, dried, and free of trash.
  • Safely parking golf carts in the cart barn after use.
  • Thoroughly clean all rental clubs and ensure that all rental clubs are in each set.
  • Assist the Starter with orientation and directions to the deli, locker room, practice range, putting green, and the first tee.
  • Assist with any on course issues including driving onto course in a company issued golf cart to address the issue.
  • Assist in general upkeep of your respective areas which includes but not limited to Valet 1, Valet 2, Cart Staging, LBO, Driving Range, Cart Barn, and Exterior Area Surrounding Cart Barn Entrance. This includes but is not limited to sweeping up trash and plant debris, cleaning all signs/hutches/desks, and informing maintenance or a manager of any repair/paint/major clean up that needs to occur.
  • Work schedule varies based on business needs.
  • Morning, evening, weekend (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) and Holiday work will be required.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Education/Experience: High school diploma preferred

Age Requirements: Must be 18 Years of Age or Older

Language Skills: May be required: to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos; to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and fellow Staff.

Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills required.

Physical Demands: Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time. Regularly lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. On feet for long periods of time. Works outside in all types of weather conditions. Bends, squats, and leans at various times. Sprints and runs short distances at times. Occasionally walks up and down stairs during course of the work shift. Frequently communicates with a two-way radio via ear piece during the course of the shift. Often works in a demanding and fast paced environment

Vision Requirements: Ability to see near and far distances. Ability to see colors. Ability to use peripheral vision as well as depth perception. Ability to focus on objects.

Environment/Noise: Seasonally works in wet, cool conditions. Occasionally works in areas with moving mechanical parts; may come into contact with fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. Consistently works in outdoor weather conditions. Gasoline powered carts and trucks will cause noise around the work area.

Certificates/Licenses: Valid Driver’s License

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences

  • Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job.
  • Ability to speak clearly and calmly with guests and colleagues.
  • Golf knowledge preferred but not required.
