The Willows at Ramapo Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate will assist in overseeing the daily operations of the nursing department while ensuring the highest standards of quality care, regulatory compliance, and staff support.
We are looking for a strong clinical leader who is passionate about resident care, team development, and operational excellence within a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting.
Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Responsibilities
  • Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing nursing department operations
  • Support and supervise nursing staff to ensure quality resident care and compliance with facility policies
  • Monitor clinical practices to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and evaluating nursing personnel
  • Conduct clinical rounds and address resident care concerns promptly
  • Assist with infection control, quality assurance, and risk management initiatives
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance resident outcomes
  • Support staff education and ongoing professional development
  • Help maintain accurate clinical documentation and regulatory preparedness
  • Participate in on-call rotation as needed
Qualifications
  • Current RN license in the state of New York
  • Previous nursing leadership experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting preferred
  • Strong knowledge of NYS Department of Health regulations and long-term care compliance standards
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment
