Manager, Radiation Therapy

The Manager-Radiation Therapy functions as an integral member of the Department of Radiation Oncology Team and management staff. The team provides patient care, medical education, and cancer focused research and the success of these three missions is dependent on the integrated skills of all team members in the Department. The Manager-Radiation Therapy leads therapist team at the Proton Center Radiation Oncology unit and is responsible for management of the technical radiation therapy services for maintenance of prescribed standards, treatment delivery and radiation safety. They are responsible for clinical instruction of student technologists and participates in the development of new teaching methods and techniques. The Manager-Radiation Therapy is also key in educating students, staff and new employees as to the hospital and department's missions, values, and goals.

The Manager-Radiation Therapy in the Department of Radiation Oncology directs the treatment team at the Proton Center Radiation Oncology unit who oversees and assists in the preparation and daily delivery of radiation therapy services. In addition, the Manager-Radiation Therapy is responsible for educating, guiding, coaching, and evaluating the work performance of the therapy staff. Ongoing collaboration with other areas of the department that relate directly or indirectly to patient care operations and services is essential. The Manager is key in promoting the Medical Center's mission, values and goals and creates an environment that supports these aspects.

Minimum Qualifications: For Hire: Meets all requirements for registry by the ARRT. Registered by the A.R.R.T. in Radiation Therapy Technology. Bachelor's degree, 5 years of supervisory experience, preferred. Licensed by the State Ohio in Radiation Therapy.
