Job description


Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiation Therapy Coordinator, you will administer individualized radiation therapy treatments and perform clinical simulations, while assuming twenty-four-hour responsibility for departmental operations to ensure quality, cost-effective patient care.
Every day you will calculate simple dosimetry, verify treatment parameters, maintain necessary data, assess patients daily, and lead staff to uphold personal accountability for the organizational mission and core values.
To be successful in this role, you will possess strong technical skills in radiation therapy, meticulous attention to detail in treatment verification and dosimetry, and proven leadership abilities to manage departmental operations and inspire staff accountability while providing high-quality patient care.

  • Supervises therapist activities.
  • Delivers prescribed planned courses of radiation therapy to patients.
  • Maintains quality of portal verification on each patient according to department standards.
  • Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized plans of care.
  • Maintains the environment of care, including Quality Assurance tests on equipment, room preparation, and supplies.
  • Proficiently uses EMR and patient data management systems to accurately input changes, record treatments, and patient data.

We are offering a $15,000 sign on bonus in addition to up to $8,000 relocation assistance to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.

Job Requirements

Required

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D.
  • Registered Radiation Therapist
  • Completion of an ARRT approved school of Radiation Therapy
  • Five (5) years experience in Radiation Therapy

Preferred

  • Two (2) years in leadership/management position
