Job description

Overview

The Social Media Manager owns social media strategy and execution for Poppi, combining strategic leadership with high volume content production. This role leads the growth and ongoing engagement of an audience of 2M+ followers, leveraging cultural insight and platform expertise to keep Poppi ahead of culture and firmly positioned as the clear leader in modern soda.

You'll own the end-to-end content engine from strategy and briefing, through content production and posting, while developing and managing a direct report to scale both output and team capability. This is a high autonomy, high- impact role for a strategic operator who combines sharp creative taste with the judgment to shape platform direction and brand voice at scale.


Responsibilities

Social Media & Content Strategy

  • Champion poppi’s marketing pillars - be creative and critical, culturally relevant, and a champion of others
  • Develop, concept, film, and edit content across TikTok, Instagram, and emerging platforms
  • Support the execution of major product launches, cultural campaigns, and partnership moments with social-first storytelling
  • Drive virality with scroll-stopping content infused with poppi’s disruptive voice and visual identity
  • Contribute to the development of overarching platform strategy, bringing a fresh POV on what’s working and what’s next

Creative Execution & Collaboration

  • Execute a high-volume, in-house content engine, delivering hundreds of assets monthly across platforms
  • Brief external teams, contractors and creators on social content, ensuring alignment with poppi’s tone and creative vision
  • Ensure consistency and evolution of poppi's brand voice across all social platforms
  • Identify and activate on cultural trends in real time to drive relevance, engagement, and virality
  • Establish efficient workflows and processes to support speed, scale, and quality of content production
  • Brief and guide external teams, contractors, and creators, ensuring alignment with poppi's tone and creative vision
  • Monitor cultural trends, memes, and viral moments bringing a consistent stream of ideas to the table to keep poppi ahead on culture
  • Manage giveaways and UGC-driven initiatives that surprise, delight, and build social loyalty
  • Partner cross-functionally with influencer, creative, and retail marketing teams to execute cohesive campaigns across channels
  • Support retail-specific social asks (e.g., Target, Costco, Walmart), tailoring creative content to drive in-store and online traction

Events & Activations

  • Support the team in bringing activations, influencer events, and IRL moments to life both onsite and through social coverage
  • Attend and document events and pop-ups to capture behind-the-scenes content and amplify moments in real time

People Management

  • Onboard, manage, and mentor a direct report, providing guidance, feedback, and career development support
  • Delegate effectively to scale content output while maintaining quality and brand consistency
  • Build team capability alongside personal output, supporting growth in both

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $80,700 - $135,100.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 5% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.
