Job Summary

We are seeking a Patient Services Manager to lead and oversee our Patient Services Team in an acute care setting. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality patient food services, team leadership, and regulatory compliance while driving patient satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities

  • Establish departmental goals and oversee the implementation of patient food service programs aligned with medical direction and patient population needs
  • Hire, train, coach, and develop patient services team members, fostering a high-performing environment
  • Ensure compliance with prescribed dietary restrictions, delivering meals that align with diet orders while supporting patient preferences
  • Lead initiatives to meet and exceed patient satisfaction goals
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards, including federal, state, and accrediting agencies, as well as facility policies regarding confidentiality, HIPAA, and patient rights
  • Participate in and/or lead patient satisfaction initiatives, departmental meetings, and facility-wide Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) programs

Qualifications

  • Associate degree with at least one (1) year of experience in food services or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree in food service management, nutrition, or a related discipline
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), Registered Diet Technician (DTR), or Registered Dietitian (RD) credentials preferred
  • Minimum of one (1) year of food service management experience, preferably in an acute care setting
  • ServSafe® certification preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, electronic medical records (EMR), and diet office systems

Additional Details

  • Facility: Acute care hospital (approx. 150 average daily census)
  • Team Oversight: 10+ FTEs (non-union, hourly staff)
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday with rotating weekend coverage
