What You’ll Be Doing

As the Food Service Manager plans, you are responsible for assisting the Director with managing all aspects of

the operational needs of the Food & Nutrition Department. You will coordinate the tasks with the Director and

Supervisor. You will ensure the overall efficiency of food and nutrition services. Assumes authority and

responsibilities during Food Service Director absence.

Full Time Exempt/Non-union

Monday-Friday, weekends based on operational needs

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

▪ Oversee the scheduling, training, hiring, coaching, and development of all team members

▪ Ensure that food is properly portioned, plates are attractively presented, and service meets established

standards.

▪ Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, sanitation standards, infection control practices, and

facility policies

▪ Ensure that the team complies with safety regulations and adheres to all company policies and

procedures.

▪ Work closely with the Registered Clinical Dietitian.

▪ Performs all other related duties.

What We’re Looking For

Required:

▪ Bachelor's degree required.

▪ Minimum three years’ supervisory experience in hospital food and nutrition required.

Preferred:

▪ Ability to analyze and interpret financial and other data

▪ Excellent interpersonal skills

▪ High customer service and quality demeanor

▪ Ability to work under pressure and meet established criteria

▪ Ability to apply a participative approach to leading staff, to coordinate and prioritize tasks, and to

develop budgets with a complete understanding of facility needs and requirements

▪ Excellent stress management skills, administrative and organizational, and follow-through skills required

▪ Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office,

Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

▪ Health system or hospital background
