Job description

This position is responsible for the execution of Arvato's North American logistics processes supporting multiple customers and Arvato warehouses. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
YOUR TASKS
  • Responsible for all operational tasks for North American transportation management via management of transportation professionals to ensure best in class operations strategy.
  • Understand multi-client, multi-sector and multi-location networks.
  • Ability to optimize transportation solutions over all modes (e.g. ocean, parcel, LTL and FTL).
  • Establish, track, and analyze and transportation-related KPIs.
  • Provide transportation leadership and solution design support to customers as a value-added service.
  • Drive development of a continuous improvement culture by identifying inefficiencies, implementing process improvements, and increasing service quality.
  • Execute carrier performance reviews to identify service and revenue improvement opportunities, implement corrective actions and cost management strategies accordingly.
  • Support the successful implementation of new customers and onboarding of carriers, ensuring seamless integration into existing logistics processes
  • Ensure carrier compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Analyze and present the financial impact of logistics changes, such as routing, shipping mode shifts, and network optimization with carriers.
  • Serve as a senior escalation point for resolving day-to-day operational issues, ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Support the development, documentation, and maintenance of standardized operating procedures (SOPs) for nationwide logistics process.

YOUR PROFILE
  • 10 years' experience with multi location operational and planning skills
  • Degree in management or logistics fields preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in transportation management, preferably in a multi-client, third-party logistics (3PL) environment.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing high-performing logistics or transportation teams.
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with TMS (Transportation Management Systems), Microsoft Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Strong communication skills and experience interfacing with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in building an asset-based carrier strategy.
