Job Description

Truck Centers, Inc. is looking for a driven and forward-thinking Manager of Finance to lead key accounting operations while helping modernize and improve financial processes across the organization.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining strong accounting expertise with process improvement, technology, and leadership. The Manager of Finance will oversee daily accounting functions, support strategic financial planning, and help drive efficiencies through automation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Schedule:

  • This position will work in office Monday-Friday during the day but also needs to have a team-driven mindset and understanding that some after-hours work may be needed. 

What You'll Do:

  • Manage, mentor, and develop accounting staff
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet deadlines and organizational goals
  • Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting operations in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Review and finalize daily cash activity
  • Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, P&L reports, journal entries, and financial analysis
  • Maintain and oversee the accuracy of the general ledger
  • Prepare and verify financial statements, annual reports, and operational metrics with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives
  • Partner with banking representatives, auditors, vendors, and other external business partners, including support for the annual audit process
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local tax laws and reporting requirements
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, integrations, workflows, and AI tools
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across accounting and finance functions
  • Support departmental and company success through additional projects and responsibilities as needed
Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business
  • 10+ years of suitable experience in bookkeeping or accounting functions and principles using computer accounting and software systems.
  • Experience managing an accounts payable team.
  • Thorough knowledge of general accounting principles, numerical aptitude, computer systems, and corporate operations with superior accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Possession of high standards of professionalism and ethics, including honesty, integrity, and fairness in conduct, reporting, and adherence to procedures
  • Demonstrated MS Office competency, including intermediate or advanced Excel experience; experience with Dealer Management software is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and coordinate workflows in a timely manner to meet deadlines even with emergent changes and constraints
  • Resourceful, collaborative team player with the ability to also thrive independently
  • Ability to work as a liaison with vendors or other constituents and represent the company favorably
  • Must participate in a background check and pre-hire drug screening
