Job description

Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Triage incoming transport requests from clients via phone and email communication
  • Transfer the information received from the client into dispatch database
  • Develop logistics plans for individual transports, including ground, commercial air, and charter air transportation, based on client needs
  • Engage and schedule appropriate transportation resources
  • Dispatch transportation resources via phone, providing clear and concise direction as to assignment details
  • Monitor ground and air resources throughout the respective transport, ensuring all points of contact are kept up to date on all relevant movements
  • Maintain accurate notes and enter transport updates into dispatch database
  • Build rapport with client coordinators, region supervisors, and drivers, exuding a customer first attitude
  • Empathize with, evaluate, and escalate client concerns to appropriate members of the management team

Job Requirements & Preferences
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior experience in dispatch, transportation logistics, or medical administrative roles - preferred
  • Availability to work all shifts, including overnights, weekends, and holidays
  • Knowledge of computer operations sufficient to enter, retrieve and manipulate data
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English
  • Effectively prioritizes situations and makes decisions based on the information received
  • Able to handle multiple tasks, receiving and communicating information to and from several sources, while ensuring calls for service are dispatched and monitored in a timely manner
