JOB DESCRIPTION
FOX Sports is looking for a Freelance Associate, Digital Media Coordinator to join the team in Los Angeles, CA. The Freelance Associate, Digital Media Coordinator will support the day-to-day programming and media operations for FOX Sports Digital's always-on channel. This role will help coordinate schedules, gather assets, and ensure content moves smoothly between live production, post-production, VOD, and programming teams.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced sports media environment. They will track upcoming programming needs, manage media requests, confirm asset availability, and help maintain clear communication across multiple teams to ensure the channel is consistently programmed, updated, and ready for distribution.
This is a hands-on coordination role for someone who understands digital video workflows, can manage multiple priorities at once, and is excited by the challenge of supporting a 24/7 live and VOD content operation.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate daily and weekly programming schedules for the always-on channel, ensuring live, VOD, and replay content are properly planned and communicated
  • Gather, track, and organize media assets from live production, post-production, social, and VOD teams for channel use
  • Maintain clear communication between programming, live, post, and operations teams to confirm content readiness, timing, and delivery needs
  • Monitor content handoffs, versioning, metadata, and asset availability to help ensure the channel remains accurate and up to date
  • Support real-time schedule adjustments around live events, breaking news, programming changes, and content priority shifts

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
  • 3+ years of experience in media coordination, digital production, post-production, programming, content operations, or a related role
  • Experience coordinating between multiple teams, including live production, post-production, programming, and operations
  • Strong understanding of digital video workflows, including live content, VOD, replays, clips, and asset delivery
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly relay timing, priorities, and content updates across teams
  • Strong attention to detail around file naming, versioning, metadata, rights windows, and delivery requirements
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules, track assets, and follow up on outstanding needs
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced sports, media, or entertainment environment with shifting priorities
  • Familiarity with content management systems, media asset management tools, production trackers, or scheduling platforms
  • Collaborative, proactive mindset with a willingness to jump in, take ownership, and help keep a 24/7 channel moving
  • Ability to problem-solve quickly and support real-time programming changes around live events
  • Ability to work weekends/nights as needed since schedules will vary by season with sports
