Job description

Are you an experienced Welding Inspector looking to take your career to the next level? We are working with a leading aerospace ground support equipment and specialized industrial platforms manufacturer on a direct hire Welding Inspector opening in Apopka, FL.


This is your chance to work on high impact projects supporting the US Military and some of the biggest names in the aerospace industry. If you take pride in quality workmanship and want to be part of a team that holds itself to the highest standards, this opportunity is for you.


What You Will Be Doing

  • Perform visual inspections of steel and aluminum tack welds, weldments, and fabricated assemblies
  • Conduct non-destructive testing including magnetic particle and liquid penetrant inspections
  • Verify compliance with AWS (American Welding Society), ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers), and ISO 9001 quality standards throughout the manufacturing process
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments and inspection tools to assess dimensional accuracy and weld quality
  • Document inspection results, nonconformances, and corrective actions accurately and thoroughly
  • Support quality audits, process reviews, and internal quality inspections
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams on corrective and preventive actions
  • Provide coaching and guidance to welders and production personnel on quality standards
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives


What We Are Looking For

  • CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) certification required
  • Minimum 3 years of dedicated weld inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 2 years of documented NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) Level II experience in magnetic particle and liquid penetrant testing
  • Strong knowledge of AWS and ASME welding codes and standards
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and mobile electronic devices
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in aerospace, aviation support equipment, heavy fabrication, or industrial manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
  • Experience supporting root cause analysis and corrective action activities
  • Familiarity with ultrasonic digital thickness measurement


Schedule

  • 1st Shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
  • 2nd Shift: Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
  • Overtime may be required based on project schedules and operational demands

Apopka, FL — commutable from Orlando and surrounding Central Florida areas
