The Opportunity
In this role, you will take ownership of transport and logistics activities supporting large-scale power grid projects within Hitachi Energy's Grid Integration business. Your work will focus heavily on heavy-lift transportation, including handling equipment weighing hundreds of tons, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant delivery across international routes.

  • Develop and implement transport and logistics strategies, including end-to-end budgeting for tenders and execution phases
  • Oversee global transportation planning, including feasibility studies, sourcing, contracting, and supplier negotiations
  • Coordinate heavy-lift shipments, ensuring safe and efficient handling, lifting, and securing of large equipment

  • Collaborate with project teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to address logistics challenges and maintain project timelines
  • Investigate transport quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce risks and enhance performance
  • Ensure compliance with local and global regulations, shipping requirements, and project-specific logistics constraints
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Extensive, proven experience in heavy-lift transport and shipping, including hands-on responsibility for cargos exceeding 200 tons
  • Strong background in transformer sourcing or equivalent heavy items, transportation, and site operations
  • Experience delivering large-scale, complex projects, with end-to-end involvement from tendering through execution and final delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in complex and evolving environments
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in multicultural and global business settings; fluency in English required
  • Solid administrative, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to work under pressure and maintain structured processes

  • A collaborative environment with experienced professionals across the power industry
  • Access to learning platforms and career development programs
  • Attractive health and retirement benefits
  • Paid leave and flexible work arrangements
