Job description

Almac Group is currently seeking a Project Support Administrative Assistant Intern for our Durham, NC location. The Project Support Administrative Assistant Intern supports the Project Management Team in the timely delivery of administrative tasks. The principle function of the Project Management team is to manage projects involving discovery, development, and delivery of biomarker-based products. These can be either customer sponsored projects or as part of the Diagnostics internal product pipeline. The role will involve supporting the project management team as well as improving and maintaining relevant Project Management infrastructure.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform filing of project specific documentation, hard copy and electronic, and maintain project files to a high standard
  • Support the project managers where required with management of sample logistics and coordinate the return or destruction of tissue
  • Perform closeout and archiving activities for project management team
Qualifications:
Required Experience / Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Experience / Education:
  • Organizational and administrative experience
  • Experience within a Quality Control/Quality Assurance or regulated environment
  • Experience of utilizing a formal Project Management methodology

In addition to hands on experience in your role, interns will have the opportunity to grow their professional skills through trainings and networking events with colleagues at Almac, as well as other interns.
