As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. By doing so with precision, you not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day-to-day operations and success in the warehouse and distribution centres. For example, storing and delivering delicate flowers and fresh ingredients to local stores for everyday lunches and family celebrations. You will lead a team and have overall responsibility for the planning, coordination, staffing, safety, and performance of your area. We will count on your successful record of accomplishment in leadership and knowledge of warehouse equipment, applications, WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), and MHE (Material Handling Equipment) to ensure a positive, engaged workforce and to keep our operations running smoothly. The right candidate will have a continuous improvement mindset and a tendency towards 5S in the workplace.

Ensure new hires are thoroughly trained, and ongoing training is provided to all employees to ensure their continued success

Support leadership and Human Resources to ensure DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) programs are embraced and valued

Oversee associates, manage work schedules, and ensure attendance is accurately recorded

Maintain employee awareness and compliance with QSHE (Quality, Safety & Health, Environment)

Provide reporting and take part in weekly and monthly business reviews

Analyze process improvements and rollout of the agreed next steps

Establishes a clear communication channel between our internal and external stakeholders

Make recommendations to improve operations using continuous improvement techniques, drive cost-saving initiatives, and track savings

Participate in or lead BRMs (Business Review Meetings) and QBRs (Quarterly Business Reviews); provide and present KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to customer and business stakeholders

Meet with customer and key customer contacts to achieve mutually defined goals

Complete advanced and complicated tasks requiring considerable judgment, problem resolution, and independent analysis

What we would like you to bring

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

5+ years of warehousing experience

3-5 years of leadership experience in a distribution environment

1+ years of experience with leading and implementing Lean Six Sigma methodologies and Continuous Improvement

Knowledge of various production and quality systems

Proficient in Word, Excel (maintain complex spreadsheets), and PowerPoint
