Job description

We are seeking an experienced Property & Casualty (P&C) Litigation Manager to oversee our Third-Party Administrator (TPA). You will manage outside defense counsel, drive litigation strategies, and ensure TPAs adhere to strict claim-handling guidelines. Your main goal is to mitigate financial risk and optimize legal spend across commercial and personal lines.

Key Responsibilities TPA Oversight & Governance- Monitor TPA compliance with corporate guidelines.- Conduct regular file reviews and consult with TPA claims staff for reserve accuracy.- Evaluate TPA performance using key metrics.- Authorize settlement values above TPA authority levels. Litigation Management - Direct defense strategies for complex P&C claims.- Review and approve budgets for outside counsel.- Evaluate liability, causation, and damages exposure.- Attend high-exposure mediations and trials virtually or in-person. Operational Strategy - Analyze litigation trends to reduce legal spend.- Develop best practices for TPA data reporting.- Collaborate with internal risk management and underwriting teams
