Job description

We are a plaintiff's personal injury law firm located in the heart of Sherman Oaks. Our office is looking to expand our team with a litigation paralegal with at least 1-3 years of experience. Prior experience and knowledge of personal injury is preferred. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organized, and possess a strong foundation in legal research, document management, and client communication. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to complex cases while honing your legal support skills in a fast-paced environment committed to excellence and professional growth.


Responsibilities


  • Must be able to handle a heavy litigation case load
  • Strong understanding of all state and local rules and deadlines
  • Knowledge of eFiling and state/local requirements
  • Propound and respond to discovery
  • Ability to draft all litigation pleadings such as complaints, oppositions, motion, stipulations, declarations, etc
  • Handle all admin litigation communications in a timely and prompt manner
  • Manage cases from inception to trial
  • Maintain attorney calendars and stay on top of all deadlines
  • Calculate deadlines and manage litigation calendar
  • Prepare trial documents
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Maintain a high level of organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy legal environment.


Experience
Minimum of two years of paralegal or legal support experience in a law office setting is required.
