Business Litigation Attorney - Motor Vehicles & Finance

Lefkoff Law, LLC

Job description

Description
Business and Motor Vehicle Sales and Finance Litigation Attorney
Do You:
  • Regularly think creatively to analyze and solve problems?
  • Prefer working with successful business owners to address their legal concerns?
  • Enjoy litigating cases, conducting depositions, and researching and drafting pleadings in civil litigation matters?
  • Seek an opportunity to work hard in a business general practice law firm, but not burn out working 80-hour weeks and weekends?
  • Have significant technology aptitude and appreciate being on the cutting edge of advances in legal services?

Are you:
  • Tired of the ridiculous billable hour requirement and negotiated hourly rate at your current firm?
  • Looking for happiness and freedom in the practice of law?
  • Someone who wants to improve their work-life balance?
  • Looking for an opportunity that rewards good work and doesn't require you to generate new business in order to put food on your table?

If the answer to these questions is "Yes!" and if you are a Georgia-licensed attorney with 5+ years of civil litigation experience, we may have the ideal position for you.
We are Lefkoff Law, LLC, and we provide holistic legal services to small businesses throughout Georgia with a specific focus on the motor vehicle industry - dealers, finance, repair, repossession, scrap, and auctions.
We are an innovative provider of legal services, always trying out new ways to provide clients with an exceptional experience and never afraid to try out new software to get us there.
Our Sandy Springs-based law firm is looking for that special attorney to handle cases from start to finish throughout the metro-Atlanta area, including Fulton, Gwinnett, DeKalb, and Cobb Counties, as well as the occasional matter outside the "big 4". These cases range from low-dollar Magistrate Court matters to big-ticket State, Superior, and Federal Court cases.
Some firms have a practice-area niche. We have an industry niche. In our niche in the motor vehicle industry, we handle different practice areas. The clients we serve think of us as the legal Quarterback of their team - the ball comes to us first. If that sounds exciting, you may be the right fit.
Because clients are businesses, we look at clients' disputes from an economic perspective, not an emotional one. If you like being a legal therapist in a divorce case, this job is not for you. If you can advise clients on the legal aspects of their matters while providing a cost-benefit analysis with that advice, we'd like to talk with you.
We are seeking a full-time Litigation Attorney to fill a salaried position. Your personal autonomy, freedom, and values are prioritized at our firm. As a Litigation Attorney, you will work hand-in-hand with the firm's founder and firm administrator to conduct consultations, handle cases, and represent clients from open to close. This is a full-time position, which means, for us, in the range of 25-35 billable hours per week in addition to administrative time. Our compensation arrangement allows you to, in most cases, set your own schedule around your family.
The Litigation Attorney position, after a training period, will be to assume a "first chair" or "lead attorney" type role. While we believe and offer training, mentoring, and guidance, the attorney we hire needs to be able to confidently handle all aspects of client representation from initial meeting through trial.
We reward client originations from our lawyers and actively support those who want to market themselves. However, you do not need to "bring in cases" to work with us.
Our core values are:
Happiness First: What makes you happy makes us happy. We foster a working environment where everyone is smiling and looks forward to work. What we do can sometimes be emotionally taxing, but the people we work with aren't.
The Golden Rule is Gold: You are responsible for yourself. Honesty and integrity are our priority, and everyone at Lefkoff Law advocates for their clients with honesty and integrity. We carry our names forever and will not tarnish them.
Technology is Our Friend: We are a Mac-based law firm and regularly find ourselves trying out new software, tinkering with our current systems, and innovating, and we are not afraid to learn something new or change how we do things.
We are also philanthropists. The firm makes quarterly donations on behalf of each employee to that employee's selected non-profit charity. Causes that are important to you are important to us.
