KEY OBJECTIVE(S)
The Geoffrey Express Train Conductor is the face of fun and safety for our family-friendly train ride at American Dream. This role combines responsibility, customer engagement, and a playful attitude to create a memorable experience for guests of all ages.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Guest Interaction: Greet and interact with guests in a cheerful and professional manner both during their check in process, assisting them onto the train, and while driving with an interactive script recited. Provide a warm, welcoming environment with a family-friendly sense of humor to enhance the guest experience.
  • Train Operation: Safely operate the Geoffrey Express Train throughout its designated route, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable ride.
  • Safety Management: Perform a daily safety checklist to inspect the train and its surroundings for any potential hazards. Follow all operational protocols to ensure guest and employee safety.
  • Train Maintenance: Oversee the day-to-day upkeep of the train, including cleaning. Report any significant repairs or issues to management.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain focus while driving the train, adhering to all safety guidelines and ensuring the ride operates on schedule.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with the broader team to support the smooth operation of the Toys R Us experience.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be over 18 years of age.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license.
  • Comfortable engaging with children and families, maintaining a friendly and playful demeanor.
  • Previous experience in customer service, entertainment, or transportation-related roles is a plus
  • Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow instructions, safety protocols, and guidelines.
  • Ability to work independently

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to stand, walk, and operate the train for extended periods.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining focus and a positive attitude.

WORK SCHEDULE:
  • Availability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed
