The Role:

The Manager, IT Operations leads the day-to-day performance, reliability, and security of the organization's IT infrastructure and operations. This role manages internal IT professionals and external vendors while ensuring systems, networks, cloud environments, and technology services effectively support business needs. The Manager partners across the organization to strengthen IT operations, lead technology initiatives, manage risk and compliance, and continuously improve the scalability and efficiency of the technology environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day IT operations and infrastructure, ensuring the availability, performance, security, and reliability of systems, networks, cloud environments, and technology services.
  • Manage, coach, and develop IT team members while establishing clear performance expectations, operational standards, and opportunities for professional growth.
  • Lead IT projects and technology initiatives from planning through implementation, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to manage requirements, timelines, resources, risks, and successful delivery.
  • Manage technology vendors, contracts, service-level agreements, and the IT operations budget to ensure strong performance, appropriate resource allocation, and cost-effective solutions.
  • Oversee IT risk, security, and compliance activities, including HIPAA and NIST requirements, cybersecurity assessments, incident response, third-party security reviews, and remediation efforts.

This is a hybrid position, coming into the El Segundo office 3x per month.

Work Schedule: Business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time. Depending on the position and business needs, employees may be required to work any scheduled shift within these operating hours.

What You Bring to the Table:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required; master's degree preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in IT operations or infrastructure, including experience managing complex technology environments and leading IT professionals.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, virtualization, cloud technologies, and IT operations best practices.
  • 1-2 years of people leadership preferred.
  • Experience leading IT projects, managing technology vendors, and overseeing operational budgets, risks, and service delivery.
  • Experience working with IT governance, security, and compliance frameworks, including ITIL, HIPAA, NIST, or similar standards.
