Location: On-site at Little Creek Casino Resort Shelton, WA (Not Remote or Hybrid)


The IT Manager leads the strategic planning, daily oversight, and continuous improvement of the organization's technology environment, ensuring secure, reliable, and high-performing IT systems. This role oversees data center operations, system performance, backups, security logging, and maintenance schedules, while guiding the design, deployment, upgrade, and support of all hardware, software, servers, and network infrastructure.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure effectiveness of data center including security logs; verification that proper backups and restores take place, equipment maintenance and operating safety.
  • Ensure efficient maintenance and performance of systems.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed maintenance schedules for all Hardware and Software applications.
  • Plan, coordinate, direct, and design IT systems related solutions for the organization.
  • Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems including servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Manage, guide and mentor a team of IT systems professionals.
  • Manage IT staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, career development, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Promote a safe and inclusive work environment
  • Work closely with the IT Director to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.
  • Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.
  • Contact vendors to arrange for bids, quotes, lease or purchase of equipment.
  • Coordinate equipment installation and maintenance activities with operations to avoid disruption in IT communications and systems to ensure efficiency of operations.


ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • Help define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes.
  • Stay up to date on security risks and ensure corporate security.
  • Analyze business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions to streamline software system usage and streamline business operations for efficiency.
  • Apply and adhere to all administrative and organization internal controls to ensure continuous compliance within the enterprise.
  • Use advanced judgment and make decisions when faced with equipment failure, error conditions, and/or software problems.
  • Has access to sensitive areas only with the presence of a Security Officer where applicable.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES


Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the IT Network Administrator, IT Systems Administrator, IT Application Administrator, IT Supervisor, and IT Technician I & II. Carries out supervisor responsibilities in accordance with the policies and applicable laws, encompassing interviews, hiring, planning, assigning and directing work, performance appraisals, rewarding and coaching team members, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems
  • OR eight years' experience in IT management
  • Must have a firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices.
  • Experience in data center management, required
  • Experience with Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016 or newer, Activity Directory, DNS, DHCP, VoIP phone systems, POS solutions, Player Tracking Systems, Basic understanding of Routing and Switching, and a firm understanding in Basic Hardware and Ethernet Standards, required
  • Certifications preferred


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Class III Gaming License issued from the Squaxin Island Gaming Commission
  • Requires a Valid Washington State Driver License and must be insurable on the Tribe's insurance
  • Must be 21 years of age
