Aramark Nexus is hiring an Assistant IT Manager for Caprock Workforce Community, located outside Pampa, Texas. This full-time, on-site technology role supports IT operations for a large residential workforce community serving residents, employees, visitors, and operational teams.

The Assistant IT Manager will help support the daily technology experience across Caprock, including end user support, network connectivity, Wi-Fi, IP television, POS systems, access control, door lock systems, desktops, laptops, SaaS applications, and general IT troubleshooting. This position is a strong fit for candidates with experience as an Assistant IT Manager, IT Supervisor, IT Support Manager, Desktop Support Lead, Network Support Specialist, Systems Support Specialist, Technology Support Manager, or Site IT Coordinator.

This is a hands-on IT leadership support role in a high-visibility hospitality and residential environment. The Assistant IT Manager will work closely with the IT Manager, internal technology teams, vendors, service providers, operations leaders, and frontline employees to help ensure technology services are reliable, responsive, and aligned with site needs.

The right candidate will bring strong technical skills, a customer-first mindset, clear communication, and the ability to support both technical and non-technical users. This role requires someone who can troubleshoot issues, follow through on service requests, escalate appropriately, support technology readiness, and help create a dependable IT support experience for residents and staff.

Job Responsibilities
  • Support daily IT operations across Caprock Workforce Community.
  • Assist the IT Manager with availability, performance, and reliability of site technology services.
  • Provide hands-on support for desktops, laptops, end user devices, SaaS applications, connectivity issues, and general technology needs.
  • Support network infrastructure, Wi-Fi, IP television, POS systems, access control, door lock systems, and other site technology platforms.
  • Respond to technology service requests and help resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Act as an escalation support resource for residents, employees, vendors, and operational teams.
  • Partner with internal IT teams, vendors, and service providers to support issue resolution and service delivery.
  • Help maintain a customer-first IT service culture focused on responsiveness, ownership, and follow-through.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and communicate updates clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support technology readiness for new areas, resident services, staff onboarding, and operational needs.
  • Help track recurring issues, risks, equipment needs, and opportunities to improve technology service.
  • Support geographically dispersed technology teams as needed.
  • Assist with documentation, inventory, equipment tracking, system access, and operational reporting.
  • Supervise or support other Aramark team members when needed.
  • Remain hands-on and available to support urgent site technology needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Previous experience in IT support, technology operations, desktop support, network support, systems support, or a related technology role required.
  • Prior supervisory, lead, assistant manager, or site support experience preferred.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, connectivity, and end user support.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Office, email, laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, and common business applications.
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure, Wi-Fi support, SaaS platforms, POS systems, access control, or related site technology preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users.
  • Customer-first mindset with the ability to provide calm, professional support under pressure.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, service requests, and operational needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with IT teams, vendors, service providers, operations leaders, and frontline employees.
  • Ability to work on site at Caprock Workforce Community outside Pampa, Texas.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, or emergency support based on business needs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift equipment, and support hands-on technology work as needed.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience as an Assistant IT Manager, IT Supervisor, IT Support Manager, Desktop Support Lead, Network Support Specialist, Systems Support Specialist, Technology Support Manager, or Site IT Coordinator.
  • Experience supporting IT in hospitality, hotels, resorts, residential communities, workforce housing, campus operations, facilities management, food service, retail, or 24/7 operations.
  • Experience with enterprise networking, Wi-Fi, IPTV, POS systems, access control, door lock systems, endpoint support, device management, and SaaS applications.
  • Experience working with third-party vendors, managed service providers, internal IT teams, and geographically dispersed support teams.
  • Experience supporting large sites, new site openings, construction-to-operations transitions, or technology environments built from the ground up.
  • Experience maintaining IT documentation, equipment inventory, service tickets, user access, and operational support processes.
  • Relevant IT certifications are helpful but not required.
