TheSicilian Butcher is looking for a Host/Hostess who enjoys greeting people andbeing the face of the restaurant. In this role, you'll welcome guests, managethe waitlist, and work closely with the team to keep the flow of the diningroom running smoothly. A Day in The Life

The Hostess or Host is responsible for providing a positivefirst and last impression to our guests. You will greet customers as they enterand exit the restaurant, take and manage reservations, control a waiting list,provide guests with menus, and show guests to their seats. You will answerphone calls and customer inquiries about the restaurant and menu.

  • Greeting guests as they enter and putting them on a waiting list as necessary.
  • Providing guests with menus and answering any initial questions.
  • Seating guests at tables or in waiting areas.
  • Assigning guests to tables they prefer while keeping table rotation in mind so that servers receive the right number of customers.
  • Engaging with guests to ensure they're happy with food and service.
  • Responding to complaints and helping to resolve them.
  • Answering phone calls, taking reservations, and answering questions.
  • Providing great customer service.

WORKING CONDITIONS:Position requiresqualified individuals to see, hear and speak (verbally and audibly). May be required to work on a computer for extendedperiods of time, including viewing the screen, using a mouse, manipulating akeyboard with hands, and reaching with arms. May be asked to drive or travel bycar, air, or other transportation for business purposes. Must be able tofunction effectively in a fast-paced working environment. Must be able toreport to work responsive, free from sedatives, and in a non-sedative state.Must disclose prescribed and/or over-the-counter pharmaceuticals that mayimpair or affect the ability to perform the job's essential functions.
