Job Title: Forecasting Analyst

Location: New York / New Jersey Area or Houston, TX

Target Compensation Range: The posted pay range represents the anticipated hiring range for this position. Final compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and other business-related factors. $50,000.00 - $65,000.00.

Position Summary

The Forecasting Analyst supports inventory forecasting, replenishment planning, and operational inventory management across the product portfolio. This role works closely with the Forecasting Manager, Procurement, Inventory Control, and Operations teams to maintain accurate forecasting data, inventory recommendations, and replenishment activities using forecasting systems, ERP platforms, spreadsheets, and internal tools.


If you are the ideal candidate, you will be detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working within forecasting and inventory management systems while supporting day-to-day operational decision-making.


What You'll Do

  • Support forecasting and replenishment activities across the product portfolio in partnership with Forecasting, Procurement, Inventory Control, and Operations teams.
  • Maintain and update forecasting data, inventory recommendations, replenishment inputs, and system records.
  • Utilize the SlimStock forecasting platform to review forecasting recommendations, inventory trends, replenishment suggestions, and demand planning activities.
  • Use NetSuite ERP to review inventory data, complete data entry, process operational updates, and maintain accurate records.
  • Follow and execute instructions from multiple communication sources including forecasting software, NetSuite documentation, email communications, and management direction.
  • Review forecasting recommendations and apply practical analytical reasoning to support operational efficiencies and inventory optimization.
  • Monitor inventory trends, demand fluctuations, stock risks, lead times, and replenishment opportunities.
  • Support reporting, spreadsheet maintenance, inventory analysis, and forecasting-related administrative activities.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency in forecasting updates, inventory adjustments, and operational system entries.
  • Identify and prevent operational and data-entry errors through careful review and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with purchasing, warehouse operations, and management teams to maintain forecast integrity and inventory alignment.


What Youโ€™ll Bring

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Mathematics, Economics, Information Systems, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience working within spreadsheets, forecasting systems, inventory management tools, ERP platforms, and operational software environments.
  • Experience with NetSuite ERP, SlimStock forecasting software, or similar forecasting and replenishment platforms preferred.
  • Previous forecasting, inventory planning, purchasing, replenishment, or supply chain experience preferred.
  • Experience working within distribution, wholesale, manufacturing, or supply chain environments preferred.
  • Basic analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make practical operational decisions.
  • Understanding of inventory management concepts including forecasting, safety stock, lead times, and replenishment planning preferred.
