This position is a full-time position, based out of our Evansville IN or Louisville KY office location, with some expanded hours required during tax season. This role requires a minimum of 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably within public accounting.

Job Duties:

  • Project Management – plan, manage, and deliver quality services on time and within budget
  • Conduct and document own research and formulate conclusions.
  • Coach Associates, Senior Associates, and Supervisors in area of specialty and provide on the job learning opportunities.
  • Contribute relevant material to department projects and initiatives.
  • Plan, organize, and control multiple responsibilities and resources to meet assignment objectives and anticipate problems/proactively address issues.
  • Effectively manage multiple assignments going on at one time.
  • Build long-term relationships with clients – gain trust and respect based on demonstrated understanding of their business and ability to help achieve improvement goals.
  • Provide excellent client service, demonstrated through effective communication, timeliness, responsiveness, proactiveness, client confidence and quality of work.
  • Play a role in helping the firm grow by being aware of client targets and proposal initiatives across the firm and actively participate in the pursuit of new clients.
  • Demonstrate leadership of line of business, special service, or repeatable model that leads to new revenue and margin.
  • Understand all services provided by HSC and look to expand existing services to clients.

Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of experience, mix of public and private accounting preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA preferred but not required.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting theory/practice.
  • Advanced accounting experience/skills.
  • Proficient knowledge and application of the relevant tax and accounting professional standards, and emerging laws and regulations.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Exhibit effective verbal and written communication skills with both clients and co-workers.
