Job description

CAS Manager | Independent Boutique CPA Firm | Indianapolis, IN

Location: Hybrid — Indianapolis, IN area

Compensation: Up to $125,000 base + benefits

Requirements: 5+ years CAS or outsourced accounting experience | CPA preferred

We are an independently owned, full-service CPA and business advisory firm headquartered in Indianapolis — boutique in size, built with the capabilities of a firm twice our headcount. Founded with an entrepreneurial mindset and grown deliberately, we have stayed independent because it works. For our clients, for our culture, and for the people who build their careers here.

We have been recognized as one of the best places to work in Indiana — not once, but seven consecutive years running. That kind of recognition does not happen by accident. It happens when a firm actually invests in its people and builds something worth staying for.

We are hiring a CAS Manager to lead and grow our client accounting services practice — a core and expanding part of what we do.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Real breadth of services — we are a full-service firm with capabilities spanning tax, audit, CAS, business valuation, M&A consulting, and succession planning. You are not walking into a one-dimensional shop
  • Sophisticated middle market clients — manufacturing, construction, professional services, transportation, and nonprofits across Indiana and nationally. The work is varied and genuinely interesting
  • Boutique feel, serious infrastructure — small enough that your contributions are visible, large enough to have the resources and client base to keep you challenged and growing
  • Entrepreneurial culture — leadership that is accessible, decisions that get made locally, and a genuine investment in the people around them
  • Flexibility built in — not just written into a policy. The firm understands that people have lives and operates accordingly
  • Independently owned — no PE — the culture and client relationships here are intact because leadership has protected them intentionally

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of CAS, outsourced accounting, or client advisory services experience in a public accounting environment
  • CPA preferred
  • Strong foundation in financial reporting, general ledger management, payroll, and cash management
  • QuickBooks proficiency — Online and Desktop preferred
  • Experience managing client relationships and leading engagements independently
  • Comfortable supervising and developing staff
  • Self-directed, detail-oriented, and collaborative by nature
  • Middle market or industry experience a plus

What We Offer

  • Base salary up to $125,000, commensurate with experience
  • Medical, dental, and vision — majority employer-paid, approximately $50/month for individual coverage
  • 401(k) — 3% Safe Harbor + 50% match on the next 2%
  • Life and disability insurance
  • A firm that has been recognized as a best place to work — seven years in a row — and earns it
