Job description

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour commensurate with experience

Our locally-owned business provides our team of full and part-time staff with flexible schedule options and generous employee discounts. In this role, you will work with customers to make them feel welcome, suggest product and solutions to meet their needs, and teach about our products. A positive attitude and a desire to promptly support customer needs or resolve potential issues will make you successful in this role. Ultimately, you will ensure that customers leave our store satisfied and you will contribute to the success of our caring business.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet, connect with, and help direct customers.
  • Provide enthusiastic and accurate information (e.g. product features, pricing and after-sales services). Answer customers’ questions about specific products/services. Inform customers about discounts and special offers.
  • Stay curious about all products in the store and the value they bring.
  • Stay up-to-date with new products/services Cross-sell products.
  • Coordinate with our Sales Team to provide excellent customer service (especially during peak times).
  • Keep racks fully stocked, clean, and attractive.
  • Manage returns of merchandise.
  • Provide customer feedback to the Store Manager.

Skills:

  • Love of and depth of knowledge in one or more of the following: Nutrition, Herbalism, or Natural Health.
  • Proven work experience as Sales Associate, Retail Sales Rep, Retail Service Support or similar Customer Support role in a professional environment. Curiosity and ability to communicate value of natural products. Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships. Understanding of the retail/grocery sales environment.
  • Familiarity with consumer behavior principles.
  • Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to perform in fast-paced environments.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts.
  • High school degree.
  • Motivation and a desire to learn.
