POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking an energetic, capable, and dynamic hands-on leader to serve as Manager of Project Management. This leader will drive the development and optimization of Customer Experience through leadership in communication, customer service, and project management principles. The successful candidate will be eager to dig in at the front line, seamlessly blending long term planning and tactical execution with a focus on delivering daily. Operating within a high-mix manufacturing environment, this role is critical to ensuring seamless coordination of projects and priorities across our Electrical-Mechanical Assembly and Sheet Metal facilities. You will be a culture champion leading a group of project managers engaged directly with customers and internal stakeholders to plan and execute key projects from order to delivery. This is a leadership opportunity to shape the future of operational excellence through a high-performing project management team.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership & Team Development - Culture Champion

  • Inspire, lead, and develop a high-impact PM team to effectively meet customer needs
  • Cultivate accountability, cross functional collaboration, and continuous improvement establishing the team as a center of excellence within the organization.
  • Model exceptional leadership and strategic thinking driving project outcomes, risk mitigation, and proactive stakeholder engagement.
  • Solid comprehension of and ability to articulate / teach PM principles, tools, and methodology
  • Support day-to-day activities and needs of the PM team along with internal and external customers
  • Act as a culture champion embodying the Kratos Code Orange principles


Develop and Strengthen Voice of Customer

  • Partners with PMs and sales teams to build and strengthen relationships with key customers and stakeholders both internal and external
  • Foster customer centric team culture with proactive and responsive customer service / communication 
  • Build a culture of curiosity and collaboration that enables win-win transparency and planning processes with key customers
  • Balance customer service with risk mitigation holding customers and internal stakeholders accountable for contributions to project delays mitigating unachievable late-stage compression as required


Detail Oriented Execution

  • Champion team accountability to maintain system data accuracy across ERP and PM systems 
  • Identifies conflicts and risks early on and addresses with the appropriate PM team members, customers, and cross functional stakeholders to mitigate and adjust when needed
  • Establish and maintain work instructions, SOPs, and best practices for the PM team
  • Identify and help develop opportunities to automate processes and customer communications to optimize work where possible


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with master planning function to build and maintain connective tissue between PM planning and how it impacts long term line loading and capacity planning from Sales through delivery
  • Works with sales team and planning functions in a highly collaborative way to ensure lead times and production are communicated effectively to customers from the quote through the job lifecycle
  • Partner seamlessly with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain leaders to synchronize delivery goals and mitigate risks / constraints
  • Proactively identify and provide visibility to leadership on delivery risks, trade-offs, and resource alignment to drive decision-making
  • Lead cross-functional readiness for new programs, engineering changes, and high-variability orders


Analytics, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Design and maintain KPI dashboards to track effectiveness and OTD
  • Leverage root cause analysis and predictive modeling to identify performance gaps and growth opportunities


Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, operations planning, or production systems; minimum 3 years in a strategic leadership role
  • Proven expertise in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with demonstrated success leading high-performing project teams
  • Understanding of sheet metal fabrication and/or assembly operations
  • Strong command of ERP systems, data analytics, and planning tools


Preferred

  • Experience in managing high-mix, high-complexity production environments
  • Exposure to lean manufacturing principles, theory of constraints, and digital transformation initiatives
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Eng, Ops, etc.), Business, or Project Management discipline strongly preferred
  • In-depth understanding and experience with sheet metal fabrication and/or assembly operations
